Do you have the knit skirt or the leopard poly one? I sized up on the knit skirt due to my chunky legs, and then I had the waist taken in. I haven't noticed any stretching or shrinking. I don't like body con anything other than underwear, so I even considered sizing up twice but never tried it.

When I tried on skirts at the store, I noticed they differed in size a bit even within the same pattern -- especially at the waist. I don't know if some waistbands had stretched out after numerous women had tried them on or if it was a matter of less than stellar quality control.

I've just had mine for a few weeks so can't speak about shrinkage! In terms of fit, if you want to wear them now, probably a good idea to pick the one that is flattering now. I will say that mine fit more bodycon, which is ok by me since I'll be wearing them with more fluid tops.
If you're not sure that either size is flattering, you may want to keep looking.

I went with the smaller size but my problem area is my hips, not my waist. In the larger size, not only was the waist too big but the skirt did not taper enough. Mine has not stretched out.

Eta: I think if it's just the waistband that feels too tight you could probably just replace the elastic with a slightly longer one. It's an easy fix.

I have two sizes and much prefer the smaller size of the two. The one that fits larger just hangs and does not skim my curves like the smaller of the two sizes. Depending on your height a petite size could be an option, too, I know many on the forum ended up trying regular and petite sizes until they got the correct fit. Good luck and keep us posted.

I'd asked this same question earlier this summer because I was also between sizes. What I wad told and found to be true was that different patterns/colors all fit slightly differently. I eventually found one that fit perfectly and it seems to hold its shape well. So unless you're completely wedded to the one you have, it might also be worth trying on a few other options.

Good question. I'm about to buy a couple more. I bought Ls last year and they were fine with fluctuating weight. The M seems a bit tight for me, but comfortable. Not sure I like the look from the rear. I haven't noticed any shrinkage, but the L's are too big in the waist now.

Thoughts from other YLFers?

I have jumped on the VC tube skirt bandwagon due to the NAS price, and am torn on the sizing. I ordered both a S and a M, but think I fall somewhere in between. The S is tight around my waist but the M is very loose. I am currently carrying 5 extra pounds RIGHT ON MY BELLY (argh perimenopause), which I am hopeful about shedding. Five pounds on me can mean a full dress size.

If you fell somewhere in the middle, which would you keep? Those of you who have had this skirt for a while, does it shrink? Stretch out a bit? I have no butt and slim hips so both sizes seem to work everywhere else.
