I have a bias against fringed jackets like these, a poison eye if you will. It's a fine line between fashion and costume. It may be a matter of feeling comfortable in a piece you love but feeling it is outside the norm of dress for your everyday life. Try wearing the jacket more often styling it with your everyday clothes and see what happens.
