The skirt needed to be pleated, or much more flared. Or pencil straight!&nbsp;</p> <p>I vote return. What you've already got for Summer is sooooo much nicer than this skirt. I agree that it’s the gathers around the hips that are the issue. With that said, it does not give me “old” or “church lady” either individually or in combination. Linen-rayon blend is cooling for summer. Pockets. Pretty green print that goes well my cinnamon orange tops. Long length for easy summer wearing. </p> <p>Cons: When wearing it, I feel kind of frumpy. I think it’s due to the very gathered dirndl style waist. (It has gathers sewn in all around the waist.) It is giving me “old church lady” vibes for some reason. (That phrase is not meant as derogatory insult to church ladies or the elderly ) I feel I do better in a less gathered waistband for skirts. </p> <p>When asked, hubs said “it looks okay.” It’s way of saying it’s fine but not wowed by it. </p> <p>Thoughts?? </p>
