Thankyou ladies for the help! After reading your responses, I think I'm a mix between both also! I'll look back on the style guides for each shape and use it as a starting point. Thanks again!

Ha ha, I have to laugh, because I was going to say that you remind me of Mo. Looks like I was right! I think you have the shelf hip, but it's not as distinct as in some.

I guess if I were you, I would go over to Imogen Lamport's blog Inside Out Style and see what she recommends for X shapes and 8 shapes. See where the differences are and then try out those possibilities to see which look better on you. You might find that you need to dress as an 8 for your upper half but as an X for your lower half; in other words, you might need a combination of guidelines. Most of us on the forum don't dress according to one body type but take guidelines from two of them, sometimes three.

I'd say you're leaning more towards X than 8. Your widest point is across your thighs, not your high hip. Congrats on the weight loss!

You have a beautiful body! Congratulations on your weight loss :D
Your lower hips curve smoothly so I wouldn't really think of you as an 8. My vote goes for X shape or maybe a combination?

Beautiful body! Because of the high hip, your body looks more 8-ish to me. I could be wrong, though! There's another thread in the body type forum that is discussing what 8 shaped bodies wear. You should check it out. :)
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-high-hips

You look a lot like me. I actually sent pics to Imogen to get a final 8 vote, but I have aspects of both as well. When I gain more, the 8 comes out, when I'm leaner it's closer to X.
The only big difference I found was steering clear of skirts that flare out when more 8, and pants fit changes as the waist gets bigger or smaller in comparison to the hips.
