Like I've said in earlier posts, women in other countries usually dress nicer than they do here in the U.S. My DH's cousin has a son who is getting married in a couple of weeks. They live in Central America, and are planning a very formal wedding. Dress is formal (it says so on the invitation), and the women are expected to wear long gowns. Just as you reported and photo'd--extremely formal, elegant and often perfectly matching gowns, shoes, hats worn by all the ladies. I am almost sure the guests outshone the brides at these weddings I saw in the town square yesterday. Its times like this I wish I travelled with a good camera. Every guest was beautifully dressed - I rarely see people dress to this level at home anymore... Backed by bands, fireworks and cannon fire - a wedding truly is an important part of the fabric of life...<br /><br />The colours of the dresses are gorgeous in #1...<br />The spanish influence in the dresses&nbsp;and level of grooming detail in #2 and 3<br />This dress is just unbelievable #4&nbsp;- it is in 3 as well with a black leather biker jacket!
