I had a colonoscopy last month and had the same directions: "sign no contracts."</p> <p>My husband's procedure went well. They are keeping him overnight. The doctor said nearly everyone for this procedure stays overnight. When I left this evening he was eating dinner and looked pretty good. Hopefully he'll be released tomorrow morning.</p> <p>As to the advice: it was excellent! Thanks, everyone. I felt pretty good in my grey turtleneck sweater, jeans and boots. I did use the blanket scarf, as it was chilly. I took a couple small knitting projects to occupy myself, and earphones to listen to music on my phone, to blot out obnoxious tv in the waiting room. You have excellent advice. I find sitting in hospitals cold. I was told that they keep them cold to try to prevent germs spreading. Layers would be best with something that can be a blanket if needed. Take protein bars or other snacks. It is easy to miss out on meals when waiting for the doctor. I agree with Angie, that looking polished can get you better service. I hope all goes well. </p>
