It’s disappointing the company isn’t standing by their quality promise more firmly — that is short-sighted of them because now not only you, but anyone you tell (like us!) will stay away from that brand. On the other side of the coin, I will wholeheartedly recommend Lipault luggage because of the excellent customer service we received for a bent frame in a suitcase that is a few years old. I filled out an online form, shipped it to their authorized repair shop, and they repaired and returned it free of charge (I just paid for the shipping to the repair facility). THAT is how a company keeps its customers. &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I say let the bag go — it has a negative association now. You’ll feel better when you move on. Sorry you experienced that! I know you were excited about that bag.

Bolster your confidence and find something else that makes your heart sing even more. And I may be pushing my own psychological issues onto you here... but it helps me to remember when I do make errors that I am generally a careful cautious person and I do earn well, so the odd mistake is not a disaster and I can “chalk it up” as the saying goes, to experience. It has happened to us, my husband is still sore about his suitcase with a 15 year guarantee where the handle became very stiff and they would not honour it. He hadn’t had it near 15 years either!&#060;br /&#062;

I called the company I bought it from and explained; I said that I had only worn it gently, they disagreed, said I had bent the frame and scuffed the bag, and so it went on. They 'repaired' it but it isn't like new and I don't like it at all now because it has bad feelings attached to it.&#060;/p&#062;

&#060;p&#062;It wasn't a good purchase, and knocked my confidence. I felt very uneasy about it and still do a little. DH was very supportive and it is on Ebay currently, ready for a new home.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Please may I ask for kind words to say it is okay for me to move on from this purchase. I don't think I need support about the poor customer service, the moment has passed, but support to rebuild my confidence on purchasing another bag!&#060;/p&#062;
