Nodding in agreement with Jessie. And also in agreement with the vavavoom factor Angie mentions . If I really wanted to show it off , and highlight my body in a dramatic way , this would be the way to do it .....and no way in h— is that going to happen .

Could it be the length, too? The red sweater and Boden top look like they hit at the hip on the model; the Nic+Zoe looks to be a few inches longer.

I love the look of the red one. Straight bottom, no weird elastic or ruching. If I came across such a thing in petite I'd snap it up.

“ as if I’m announcing to the world that I’m trying to cover my flaws “
That is exactly how I feel in ruched dresses. Just passed one on for this reason.

I also think you might not like excess ruching. Despite a flattering fit, It can accentuate the "va va voom" - which you might not want to do in a professional setting.

Seconding Cardiff girl, the waist is in a higher place. Think the wrap has to be at the natural waist to work best.

Without seeing them on its hard to say but I wonder if it’s todo with the placement of the waist on you,the top you are getting rid of looks higher waisted than the others with a lot more baggy material below the waist but it’s just a guess without seeing how they look on your frame.

Very timely topic Angie!

I’m team faux wrap, as they work better w my curvy figure and there’s less extra fabric at the waist.

However, there are times when I feel quite uncomfortable in a wrap top. Almost as if I’m announcing to the world that I’m trying to cover my flaws by wearing this style. I suspect I’m overthinking this, but also wonder if it’s tied to a specific cut? For instance, I love the Halogen sweater and the Boden polka dot top. But the Nic+Zoe is headed for the donation pile, even though it ticks all the boxes.

Any eagle-eyed posters have ideas?
