Maneera, look forward to seeing you try it out. Winter is coming... Lisa, the dress consists of red, white and a brownish burgundy. When I first bought it I used to wear it with chocolate brown tights and knee high boots. So the OTKs (as well as the sweater) are an update. And the sweater does make the dress more waist surrendering. Unfrumped, I love that you say it is ladylike. I was definitely hoping to avoid hoochie! I love wearing a pullover with a dress, and your rendition is just inspired. Great way to get more wears and to casualize it, though here you've made it look modern and fab. The boots are a great idea. Sometimes OTK boots with short, slim skirts look a little ah, hoochie to me, sorry for showing my style filters, but the wrap style and hectic print go perfectly with the boots and give a more ladylike look, for some reason. I just love everything about this outfit on you! This is such a cool idea, Brooklyn. I often pack away ALL dresses for winter because I cannot imagine wearing them with an open coat in our winter. But this idea is fabulous! On Saturday night it was cold enough to wear a wool wrap dress. The dress is about 4 years old, so to freshen it up I tucked the waist ties in and wore it with a new sweater over the top and new OTK boots. I liked that it made the outfit feel more casual (wrap dresses can feel very office wear to me) and a bit 60s-ish. On the OTK boots: I wanted to mention (as a follow up to Viva's thread last week) that this dress has always felt a little bit too short for me but felt much better with the OTK boots. I think it is because the boots give me more coverage than tights or leggings. Kind of like wearing pants. Anyway, you be the judge! Comments welcome.
