Omg, you’re going to get me in trouble! People already hate* me around here for talking too freely about bodies and (the horror) sex.

*playful exaggeration (I think)

I absolutely hear you on the difficulty of knowing what to support. I tend to look to how individual pieces are made, so if a place that otherwise does fast fashion has something I like in organic cotton, I’ll support that by buying it, rather than giving entire companies thumbs up or down. I figure it’s a way of voting with my currency to get them to make more that way. But I get it that you’d rather draw a wide circle around the whole lot of them. I did not realize they were part of H&M. I wish companies had to stop the shell game. That’s funny about the legs in Japan, especially when combined with what you shared earlier about sweating, lol.

SF!! Thank you!! Those would have been perfect, maybe not the arm length but did you know its owned by H&M, same as Cos? I stay away from H&M, ZARA and Uniqlo (and also Theory). I sometimes wonder if the brands I do choose from are any better, its really hard to say and maybe my line is really arbitrary. Really hard to try and weed out the good from the bad unless you shop the linen boutiques and frankly after doing that for a few years, I really didn't feel pretty or good about myself. They were all loose and ill fitting OS mostly stuff.

I keep searching for that elusive piece...

Oh and just to reassure everyone I will not be wearing that without a top underneath. I would give the Japanese grandmas a heart attack on the train like that. The scoops I wear would be the absolute lowest I'd go and they show absolutely no cleavage. Its fine to flash all your legs in Japan though...

That is a gorgeous cardigan! I am a big fan of wrap anything, including cardigans, so I hope you find something similar in an acceptable material.

Wow, the models look amazing in these. Clearly, I need lessons in posing, because wrap tops make me look flatter than a board, highlighting the bones where the top part of my pecs should be, and models don’t generally have any more real estate up there than i do. I do love the cropped welted waist on these.

Here is a similar top in recycled polyester https://www.stories.com/de_de/.....g2fW1wq6Gw

If you get a wrap cardigan, get a big decorative safety pin to use to hold it shut, keep it on. My EF wrap cardigans came with such pins. Sometimes they had yarn wrapped around them so they blended into the cardigan.

I've been umming and ahhing about the type of knit I want to add to my collection until I saw this absolutely gorgeous wrap cardigan and I think its the style for me. I want something cropped for sure because almost all my current clothing items have a mid to high waist. I absolutely love the chunkiness of it as well. Unfortunately it contains wool (I was looking for a cotton knit). If anyone has seen something like this made in cotton around, please do let me know. I'm also going to have blazers as a topper but they tend to be veeeery spendy so can't add any at the moment.

https://cultgaia.com/products/.....al-melange

I also have decided to go with save the duck for my coats. I realised I could get them in a variety if colours and I like to do that. Get the same thing but in different colour ways.
