The blouse looks really elegant on you. The snap doesn't bother me, but if it bothers you, by all means replace it with a more hidden snap, a white snap or a stitch-- even a tiny button with a cord loop might work!

Kristen- I ordered size 4 in the H&M top. I'll report back when it arrives.
I don't own any H&M so I'm pretty uncertain about the size. I wear a size small petite or 4P and sometimes a 2 in on-petite sizes but my understanding is that H&M runs a bit small and narrow compared to most brands. In the pleione top, I ordered a PXS and I think the fit is correct, although the visible button suggests it may be pulling a bit at the bust. It is a short top though- needs a cami so I don't expose my stomach if I raise my arms (after 2 kids that would be inadvisable :) )

N-M - what size did you order from H&M? Jean from EP says H&M runs on the small/narrow side....do you find that to be true? I don't have anything from them.

Kristen- funny you should post those links- those pictures on Extra Petite were the ones that pushed me to go ahead and try the pleione one and the H&M version (currently en route to my house). It just seems like a super versatile piece- looks elegant without being too fussy and fits well on petites. I kind of want it in the burgundy color too from H&M- that's probably my favorite color....

Great rendition of the formula! I hear you about the snap. I am wearing a similar outfit today with H&M wrap blouse. It also has a button so I added some double sided tape to keep it hidden.

Looks great! Love the black and white on you and I vote to stitch it and remove the snap.

I like your idea about the stitch. I might do the same, I received an Ann Taylor wrap blouse today that uses the same snap, and it's visible, so annoying.

Did you see this brief review of the H&M blouse? Sounds like you might like it better.
http://www.extrapetite.com/201.....asics.html

Yes to the stitch in place of the snap! Good solution to an age old problem. This looks elegant and refined on you.

I think this is a sharp outfit. And I agree, those snaps on a wrap top always seem to pull or not lay flat. I have used double sided tape to make it work. But it's not a permanent solution.

Nicely done! I like the whole outfit. I see what you mean, in the close-up, about the visible snap. That would bug me, too. I like your idea of replacing it with a stitch. It's not like you have to unsnap the blouse to get in and out of it.

Angie's post was a perfect nudge to try mixing some new purchases with some old favorites. Tags are off the knit moto (Halogen) but I am on the fence about the white pleione top- I'm bothered by the visible metal snap (see pic 3). I've also ordered the H&M version of this top to compare. If I keep the pleione version I would probably remove the snap and put in a small stitch or button instead.

Blouse : pleione wrap blouse

Topper: Halogen knit moto

Trousers: Express editor (very old but holding up like iron)

Booties: Seychelles "crazy for you" (old)

ETA: sorry about the weird face- squinting at my phone gives me strange expressions! Also not sure why this is marked urgent- I posted form the app on my phone because I was too lazy to transfer pics to my computer.
