Good point Joy. I will keep an eye out for blended materials. I was hoping to find a trick for keeping my current tops less wrinkled, but perhaps that's the nature of the beast! ;-

Most of my button-front shirts are from the thrift store but good brands. Falconable from Nordstrom is outstanding in staying less wrinkled. My Ann Taylor wrinkles.
I've found that shirts that are a blend of cotton with nylon are the best for not holding wrinkles. They usually have a bit of lycra too.

I'm sure it does have to do with the quality of the shirts! I have some that are better than others. But it seems that it is the nature of wovens to wrinkle. Do you think using starch in ironing helps? I've never used it.

I've heard of the Eddie Bauer non-wrinkle shirts, but as you said, their cuts tend to be looser than I'd like.

Hmm celebrities must wear more expensive shirts :). I am also a fan of the look, and I find that the wrinkle factor really varies. I think BR shirts are a little better in that aspect, but their quality has been going down. Alecia recommended an Eddie Bauer shirt that doesn't wrinkle, but I haven't tried it myself - and EB tends to have a more relaxed fit.

I love the look of button-front shirts, particularily in crisp white. The problem is, usually after I wear them for about an hour they are no longer crisp - I end up walking around feeling messy because of all the wrinkles around the waist and elbow area. And this happens even on the shirts that fit me just right.

Does anyone have ideas for dealing with this? This is one of my favorite looks and lately I've been resorting to only wearing these shirts under vests and sweaters, which deals with the problem but is a different look. In all the photos of celebrities, their shirts aren't wrinkled, even in those "out and about" photos. Are they airbrushed or do they have a secret I don't know about?!
