But in my case, it would have to a grandchild! </p> <p>Actually this reminds me of an old Oprah show where she had teenage girls and their mothers dress each other. The common denominator seemed to be that neither liked the vision that each of them had for their counterpart. The girls thought their mothers needed to be more adventurous, while the mothers wanted their daughters to look sweet and demure. The premise for the show must have hit home, though, because I sometimes let a young SA "dress me"", especially if I admire her sense of style. The results are always interesting and sometimes even serve to get me into considering items that I would have otherwise passed over or would have had trouble styling. I had never thought of it before (although I have let my 3,5 year old play by putting make up on me many times--not to wear in public of course). He did a pretty good job, I must say!</p> <p>I love her insight that we tend to be much more critical of how we look than other people are (it's part of why I've been scared to post my first WIW on here yet!), and that we should relax and even embrace silliness sometimes when we get dressed every day. Such a great exercise in pushing yourself out of your comfort zone!</p> <p>Would you let your child pick out an outfit for you? </p> <p>ETA: Link fixed!</p>
