Now, if you like to be able to mix up your shoes more often so that you're not wearing the same pair two days in a row so that they breathe, I could get behind that justification.  If you are squarely against having two items that serve the same purpose, then I vote no to the new boots.  Sorry! It's nice to have lots of variety in the shoe department and I'm sure each pair will have its purpose over the three seasons you wear them. The boots you have chosen are beautiful and good quality.....I say go for it! I have several pairs of boots including five pairs in shades of brown. Taupe suede, light brown suede, cognac, chocolate brown and a unusual charcoal / brown pair. I love all of them! Seriously, think of it as a 3-season shoe wardrobe. I have a mixture of dressy and casual. One pair of boots is reserved for when it rains (they're not leather and they're easy to wipe clean) and one pair is old and now reserved for weekends. Each serves a purpose. I see these as both more refined but also casual and the heel night would be very comfortable. I would rotate my brown booties with my 2 black booties ( lower and higher shaft) along with my moto boots on the weekends. I do live in my booties all winter and comfort is important to me because I will be holding on to them for a while. Dip in the front to show some skin which is perfect for fall with pants and skirts. The paul green booties which I am lusting after right are a deeper brown/ cognac which I don't have and with a higher shaft which would be perfect for pants and skirts and the brand is usually super comfortable. I do wear booties fall to spring. Should I pass because of too much repition with what I have (and enjoy and wear what I have) or would this color be different enough to warrant the wardrobe addition? How many booties do you have in a similar color family?
