Adelfa I love and greatly appreciate your observation that I have influences of Boho without over doing it.... As for my DD dress. You have no idea how much I resisted getting it in green!

Not late to the party at all.. This is going to be something I ponder over all weekend and your observations offer a new twist to ponder and take notice of. For instance the point of my colors being more heathered and leathers being neutrals which are both notable. I really do appreciate each and every person's perspective!

i feel pretty happy with my stylenow , but am looking to add a little more edge to my looks in a feminine way as that is my sweet spot... Adding leather mottos for instance instead of just leather blazers as I have worn in the past.I think I go for the neutrals like creme, pink and burgundy to keep the femininity...I have always felt that Feminine with an edge or twist was something I want to strive for... Shoes are a great way for me to do this, I think... any other suggestions for that???..

I'm really impressed at the number of fab outfits you have posted! My very favorites are the boho influenced ones. I love how you use boho pieces to add interest without going over the top.

I can see why you love those shoes! Wow! And I love DDs dress. I would dearly like to try it on!

Late to the party, but colourful boho/ classic would seem to be your current style descriptor. I do note, however, that a lot of your coloured items are muted, or heathered vs full on bright, and your leathers (jackets and shoes) are more natural colours-- brown, black, white (less risky high ticket items?)

I'm recognizing that rachylou is a genius, and could see you dipping your toe, literally, into trendy via footwear.

You have great style, but I get a feeling that you are standing on the edge of your nest, contemplating flight...

Suz: I definitely think dressing my new body size has been an adventure and my biggest concern has been in trying to get the proportions right for my petite height which I was so missing before taking photos and YLF. Color is what makes my heart sing, so makes perfect sense that my classic pieces reveal that. My boho side comes out to play when I am in the mood and I would say that I am strongly a mood dresser.

Karie- your answer was wise and spot on!

TexStyle- I think as I said above to Suz that I am a mood dresser and warmer temps bring out my boho side, but would not feel right year round.I would say more classic with a twist is my happy place. I love color way to much and my least favorite outfits to wear are the neutrals. I like the, in photos, but don't feel as energetic and myself in them.I would say adding the creme moto vest does help with that though......I so appreciate your perspective and the help it gave me to really define this better...

Rachylou- Your response truly made my heart sing as I have always been more classic in my shoes and am expirmenting more and more in that arena. Well, I have always been a bit boot crazy... I do love my wedged slingbacks in these temps which are more classic... There really are two sides to me and my style..That is one thing that is very apparent from this discussion.

Unfrumped: Good points... I do like those features in the pink dress and have it in three colors...hmmm???

Eliza: I think I've always had a classic almost preppy side to me. I actually didn't realize I hade done so much with the classics until this all came up and have to say, I'm kind of happy with myself for doing so. I would say minimalism is defintely not my thing and is apparent.

This is so helpful!!!! Thanks for taking time out of your day and the wonderful insightful responses! Hope more responses come to further push me to take a further look...

I think your look has a whole lot of classic, with boho and preppy notes making appearances, which is an interesting mix. None of it looks boring to me, as the colors are well selected and the outfits nicely assembled. I think Suz's idea about keeping the good classics front and center as you establish yourself at a new size makes good sense. I know when I lost weight, it was so exciting to fit into some styles that ultimately were not in keeping with my style direction and it was distracting. It is probably worthwhile to be deliberate about this.

I also see boho plus classics. I think overall you look more modern and chic in greater proportion of classics but that you can really do the combo thing well, with a boho touch here or there. For example your pink short dress outfit is more boho and unstructured than I think is ideal due to the gathered neck, puff sleeves, necklace choice. But the pink color is fab! The yellow pants outfit is more tailored and chic and is a great base for adding boho accessories instead of more predictable classic accessories.
You have a lot of great outfits and items and a good sense of style!

I agree about the Classic and the Boho and your use of colour. Although I *do* see Trendy in some of your footwear - in the pair you just found above (fab!) and here:

http://pinterest.com/pin/204632376791378070/
http://pinterest.com/pin/204632376791458806/
http://pinterest.com/pin/204632376791346253/
http://pinterest.com/pin/204632376791202662/

You could make Trendy the dominant factor of an outfit by making your footwear the focal point. It would be a really interesting exercise, now that I think about it...

I immediately see "Boho" as the emphasized style on your board at the top, then as I scrolled down I saw more classics. Do you prefer the more boho outfits or the more classic ones? I have to say I kind of prefer the classics myself, but a few of the more boho were great too. Since you have a lot of both, maybe it's time to experiment more with mixing these two in more ways? Like your cream and white outfit and spring neutrals - both which I think look particularly good on you and seem to mix the two styles. I know color is all the rage but I personally think you look really good in earthy, natural color tones based on your pin photos.

I love Suz's suggestions on dressing your new body. I think with such a big change going on, it's best to stick to classic pieces at first. As you get more comfortable with your new self (both inward and out) you will probably refine/change/redirect your look.

Love the new shoes!

Hi, Tracey -

I agree that your board contains mostly classics, but many of the classics are in non-traditional colours, which is one of the ways that Angie says you can freshen them and make them more current.

There are also quite a few boho elements in some outfits, which may or may not be "trendy" (depending on the season) but which do provide a different slant to the classics.

Also, you have been teaching yourself to dress a new body. Maybe it is best to rely on classics for that, especially at first. In the year ahead, you may find that you refine your look in a specific direction.

After reading and loving Angie's post on mixing classics with trendy, I headed to my pinterst board of outfits to see if I had accomplished that at all. I am not seeing it, I was surprised to see many classics, but not so much the juxtapositon Angie describes...

Would love if you could take a look and offer suggestions or tell me if I have done it some and am just not seeing it...
http://pinterest.com/traceyliz.....by-tracey/

Thank you for you time and effort in advance!

And while I'm at it... Here are a new pair of shoes I thrifted this week and am over the moon about. Second photo is a dress i found at Sam's Club for my daughter to try and up her wardrobe from college life of t-shirt and jeans and to propel her forward for what lies ahead.. More finds on my blog...
