I noticed a lot of my fave running tops are perforated poly - so room for air to move and flow. I think that's key.

I think you might both be right about poly not cotton re sweat But other running tops have more ventilation

Hm, some poly wicks really well. Maybe you were just hot overall?

I thought that polyester was better for working out because it doesn't get soggy like cotton does when you sweat. I love my Nike and Lululemon workout gear. I'm not sure what either is made out of, but it's definitely not cotton.

So maddening. Most work out gear is at least partly non-cotton, since cotton gets wet and stays wet (and then makes you really cold if you are hiking or biking). But for the gym, a cotton/poly blend should work.
(p.s. really cute tank)

On Sunday I finally got round to buying my new workout outfit. Armed with my westfield vouchers, I bought a new bra,
This http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/.....ow-stripe/ and this http://shop.cottonon.com/shop/.....pri-black/

Yesterday I went to the gym at lunch and did my weekly 5km on the treadmill. I worked pretty hard -heartrate up to 195 at some points - and the new outfit was so hot. I checked the labels after and it's all polyester.
I may have to invest in some cooler workout gear and save these for winter. Feeling a bit foolish.
