hee hee, Kim. Ditto with my white tee. I can't really transition from the turtleneck to the cami - I definitely need the basic tee. But I can see the idea about rethinking needing some things by getting creative with what you've got in the meantime. I could use a grey tee in it's place I guess, but I still eventually will need the white

well, the only work around I can think of for my lack of warm sweaters is my electric blankie

Very good point. It can be hard to separate wants from needs. Especially if one has a habit of fulfilling wants often, it ends up being a cycle to be broken. I certainly have had a bad habit of wanting it, then buying it behavior. Hopefully SYC will break that cycle and since it's 3 months long, that should work nicely. If I am lucky the new behavior will be want, reality check (really need? will actually use? etc), purchase if passed reality check-point.

My weakness isn't really holes in my wardrobe. I don't have business wear, but I don't need it. I just have a tendency to fall for new trendy, exotic, edgy, interesting pieces.
I'm sure the world won't stop spinning just because I haven't bought leopard heeled ankle boots (one of my current lusts)

You are absolutely right Khris! A hole is a true hole only if it is something that fits in your life style and you would actually wear it. There is no point in owning something just to have something of that kind. When I was much younger, I was trying to collect simple tops and every possible color, like " i do not have an orange top" or "I do not have anything in that color". Needless to say, there were good reasons why I didn't own anything in that color, because it looked simply awful on me Lesson learned.

Brilliant. I am thinking about this as I realize I have jeans that could probably simulate the flared/wide leg style before I rush out and buy a pair... which I can't anyway, being on SYC.

As I was reading the thread about wardrobe holes
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....robe-holes
(and Tanya's post in particular about wants verses needs), I was thinking that sometimes what may look like a hole could just be an opportunity to adjust your thinking. I don't really have any low vamped flat shoes- and that would seem like a hole. But, I don't find those types of shoes to be comfortable for me due to foot issues. I've discovered that I can pretty much transition from booties straight to sandals if I continue to wear long pants. So- not so much a hole, as a different point of view.
Just something to think about.
