Yep it's worth a try, and I think tops will be more versatile, as far as the cut is concerned.

haha I don't think I have to worry about looking old and haggy quite yet. I just always heard that juniors sizes are cut pretty straight which might not work out so well, but it's worth a try.

I agree...if you can fit into their sizing then go for it! Junior styles tend to be a little more trendy and it's a great way to add fun pieces that might be out of style in a season or two without breaking the bank. I have seen older women wear obvious junior pieces that looked too young--which IMO made the women look old and haggy. But since you're so style conscious, I'm sure you'll look great!

You are young enough and small enough to shop in the Junior dept Mayapple. Do so freely. Try the BP area at Nordstrom first. It’s generally the best and quite affordable. Start trying on 3’s and 5’s and size small. They should correspond to your Missy size 2.

I know this is generally discouraged, but I was thinking of getting trendier, more disposable pieces from the juniors department to save money. The last time I shopped there, I was a size 1, which is definitely not the case anymore. How do women's sizes correspond to juniors?
