I watched it last night. She seemed very sweet, and I can certainly appreciate being reserved, but I got the sense that she covers her feelings a lot (to the point where she doesn't even know what she's feeling, something I completely understand) and could use the boost in self-confidence. The fact that she was so completely disconnected from her clothes, and that she was defaulting to stuff she wore as a 12-year-old, to me, seems like she was keeping herself from growing up.

It was nice to see not only the physical transformation (love her hair!) but a bit more enthusiasm and self-confidence appear. Of course, people don't need to be jumping up and down in excitement or fighting tooth and nail, but those people tend to make "good TV." I actually found this pretty compelling to watch even though she wasn't one of those more bold personalities.

I know the show has a formula, etc., but I still enjoy it. I love Clinton -- he cracks me up!

Yeppers, I saw it too. Leave it to Ted, the *hair-apist* to break down her walls, lol! That cut would look really cute on you Laura.

I watched the episode, too, and enjoyed it. It was a really good makeover overall. I loved her outfits, hair, and make-up at the end, and she seemed to be happy with the results, too. I think that things really kicked in for her when she was with Ted. I really like him and would LOVE to have him do my hair. I am in a bit of a hair rut, but I am also gun-shy because I've had some BAD hair makeovers in the past.

The hair and make-up on WNTW really tie things together. I love WNTW! Watching that show propelled me to overhaul my own style, and years later I'm helping other women do the same! I never would have thought it would happen, but it has and I love it!

My favorite WNTW episode this season was the one with Dolly, the divorced woman who had a history of being abused. She really blossomed through the process and it was SO inspiring to see...

I agree, Mo - I really liked her because she was honest but not unpleasant. Sometimes they get folks on WNTW who are so recalcitrant you wonder why they agreed to be on the program at all. I mean, I understand - I would never agree to be on that show, way too invasive - but if I did agree I would at least try to think outside the box!

It looks like you can watch the show online here - http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/t.....rances.htm

Just saw it an hour or so ago. I liked it, and her. Yes, not everyone shares the same love for clothing. I mean, I'd have that same reaction about what car I was driving, so I get it

Did anyone else catch the newest What Not to Wear last night? It cracked me up because their makeover victim was an introvert and very understated and non-emotive, which totally baffled Stacy and Clinton. (Who seem like nice people, but let's face it, if I ever had to get made over by them I would get so sick of them.) They were horribly confused that she didn't have much emotion around clothes and what she wore. She wasn't self-destructive in her clothes like some on the show have been, she was just very even-keeled about it all.

I really liked her new haircut, and am wondering about a version of it for myself - but the TLC site seems out of date so I can't find a picture.
