I was just going to suggest what Khris said. Keep your portions small, and think about your carb allowance. You have to earn it! Be good most of the day and allow yourself to indulge slowly and thoughtfully on the goodies that you REALLY want. I know that you can do this, Marianna :0)

Marianna- just watch your portion sizes, or eat healthy all day and then let yourself splurge a little more for one meal. I know from experience that it can take a long time to recover from a short splurge!

Congrats everyone on getting through the holidays so well!

Khris, being up one pound is not such a big deal.

Marianna, as long as you're still making progress you should be proud of yourself! A pound a week is nothing to sneer at, that's 50 pounds a year.

Michelle, sounds like it's going well.

This is going to be a hard week for me! I've been home (CA) for an hour and I've already eaten poorly. Bad Marianna. Can I allow myself to splurge today and tomorrow and then get right back on track on Jan 1? Or is that a bad idea?

My mom said it looks like I've lost a little weight! Yay. She also said I need a haircut, but she's right about that. :o)

You’re a scream, Khris. Hope the alcohol did it’s trick. One pound at this time of year is extremely good going.

Well done, Marianna! I think that’s a GREAT achievement too. I am sure you’ll get through the next week just fine. I believe in you.

Michelle, I love your plans and there is nothing to forgive. You are moving along really well too.

*waving to Sihaya*. Glad the system with your friend is working for you. You look KILLER.

I didn't get to do my normal weigh-in this morning, as I was outo of town and without access to a scale. I therefore don't have the weigh-in for this week, but as long as you all forgive me I have a plan. I behaved myself more or less over the four days I spent with my family surrounded by Christmas goodies and general parental treats, and Corey and I are straight back on WW as of tomorrow. There will only be one night of digression, and that's New Year's Eve when we go out for a swanky dinner. We'll try to make sensible menu choices that night. I'll weigh in next Monday morning as usual, and I hope there will still be some progress to report.

After months of trying and not budging I am thrilled to say that I lost a little over 6 pounds in the last 5 weeks. I had worked out almost daily for a month and stopped dessert with only a half pound weight loss. But cutting carbs to almost zero for several weeks really made the difference. I'm back on carbs but in limited quanitities and am hoping I can keep going. I would like to lose another 5 to 10 lbs. Meanwhile my workouts are going better too now that I don't rely on them solely for weight loss purposes. The biggest difference I've found has been having a friend who wants to know how much I weigh each morning. It keeps me honest! I am so thankful for her in my life.

I'm down another pound this week. It's coming off a lot slower than I had intended but that's okay. This week is going to be really hard for me because I'll be at home in CA and surrounded by my mother's rich cooking. I am sort of mentally preparing myself not to lose any weight this week (just not gain), and then get back on track after the new year. I think that's the most logical solution for me (I want to eat my mommy's yummy food...)

I'm feeling pretty good though!

I didn't. I was too scared :-/

But, I did pack myself healthy stuff for breakfast, snacks and lunch to get me through the workday, and tonight I'm having my sister and her boyfriend over for dinner and I'm making (a healthy version of) shrimp scampi. I tracked my food through my Sparkpeople tracker and I should actually be under for my minimum calories for the day, which means I get to have a tiny dessert...woo hoo!

Yes, I weighed in as well. I'm at a .8 increase for the week. However, considering the mutliple days of Xmas meals, wine, and a few too many gifted Xmas cookies, I'm OK with it. Also, I realized that I need a better plan (other than no plan) for special events.

A one pound weight gain over Christmas is really good IMO. I'm not on a diet but I do overindulge at this time of year and redress the issue in the New Year.

It's hard to believe that it's weigh in day, again. I am up a pound from last wek, and that is actually ok. Yesterday, I had copious amounts of alcohol in order to better tolerate my in laws. I had been down in weight, and I will debloat and be back down again. It's worth it to get through the holidays LOL
Anyone else weighing this week?
