Michelle i agree with Khris now is not the time to worry about dieting. Eat what you fancy especially as you perhaps don't have much of an appetite x

Oh Michelle! Just take care of yourself and don't worry too much about food or exercise- just need to get well. You probably won't want to eat much right now, anyway.

I know I was challenged to go for a nice long walk after work, and I fully intended to do so, but my body had other plans. A weekend visit to Corey's three-year-old nephew exposed me to the flu bug he had, and now it's hit me in full force. It hurts to swallow, I'm constantly shivering while simultaneously feeling like I'm burning, and my body feels like it's been through a spin dryer and aches from neck to ankles. So I hope you'll all forgive me for not walking. I did eat less than my point target, which isn't encouraged but was necessary I think. My quandry is today. What am I supposed to eat? I despise lipton's chicken noodle soup and all that ridiculous excessive sodium, and I don't have the energy to go get myself some broth and make a batch of my own. I'm thinking of making myself a small bowl of poridge with blueberries and taking it from there.

I'm going to jump in on here, just because I think I need some accountability lately...and you girls are quite inspiring. Bear with me?

I was going through an insane amount of personal issues/troubles two weeks ago and ended up losing over 11 lbs in just under 8 days....and while I knew it was unhealthy to lose so much so fast, a part of me was rejoicing that amidst all the chaos, the scale was lower than it had been in over a year.
Fast forward two weeks, and I've come back to my normal state of life/frame of mind and simply being happier has resulted in a weight gain of 7 lbs.
The issues that started this cycle may resurface towards the end of the month (its unavoidable) but I'm determined to stop this see-sawing and get my weight firmly under my control again, rather than letting it get affected by other things.

My goals for this week:
- Get back to my gym. I've skipped TRX classes for two weeks now, but I'm signed up for 3, 1hr classes this week. That, and bellydance should be enough physical excercise to kick me out of this slump.
- I don't count calories, but I need to do better portion control.
- Starting now, at 153lbs =/ *crosses fingers*

Ele, I tend to do better when I stay busy.
I have a very full week, which is unusual for me. I hope that helps me stay away from snacking so much. I start today with an afternoon shopping date with Ana. Lucky me.

Yesterday was a busy day for me, I had my upholstery class in the morning, then went to pick up a passport and did some shopping before coming home. So I got a good amount of exercise.

What's more, when I got home I actually listened to my body for once, and only ate what I was hungry for! I love food (cooking it, touching it, smelling it) so much that I'm a major overeater- I often wolf down double what I need because I don't listen to my stomach. But yesterday I did, and ended up with some whole wheat toast and an apple for lunch.

Today has been good so far, lots of exercise at work and not *too* bad on the food front. I may go for a run in an hour if I can find the time!

Yesterday was a good day for me too! I went to bed hungry, which is a good sign for me.

My goals for today:
- Exercise! My goal is 30 minutes on the treadmill (or more than 30 minutes if I'm feeling super energized).
- Eat under 1800 calories.

I don't weigh myself daily. That doesn't work for my mental health. :0)

I did just fine yesterday until the birthday cake arrived LOL
I had a small piece- you gotta celebrate the day you pushed a little being into the world! I ran to the store, and when I got home my stomach was not feeling well, so I decided to have a soda- and another piece of cake! It did make my stomach settle down. Of course, my weight was up a bit this morning.
I'm working on some exercises for toning, and I did a good job with those. They have really made a difference and I am trying to increase them.
So- it's a new day and a new chance to excel!

I guess I'll start. :)
Yesterday was a good day. I went to the chiro again and was not given the okay to work out just yet. That sets me back, but there is still plenty I CAN do, so I'll focus on that.
She has given me several must-do stretches that should help me heal faster, so I will be diligent about those.
Yesterday I focused on portion control and spacing my meals, plus I drank plenty of water and capped off my eating for the day with a cup of vanilla honey tea. It curbs my sweet cravings and is a mental "the end" to eating, so I won't be tempted to snack after dinner.
Even though I can't run or do weight training just yet, I can walk. So Bryan and I plan on going for a walk each evening, for at least an hour.

I figured we could post on our successes for the previous day. If someone has a better idea for the title, let me know!
For those who didn't read the WLS for 3/1 thread, this is a daily check in for those of us who have been struggling with weight loss/health goals and want to give this week 110% of our efforts.
Post away!
