Really gorgeous collection. You are fantastic at using color. I especially love both the colors and the shapes you chose in 14, 15. Those pants are super cool.

So, so pretty, Tanya! I’m loving the colour story here!

Re scarves: I’ve been off knitted or fuzzy woven mufflers for a couple of years, and use only silk squares around my neck for warmth - indoors and out. I like how the sheen of a silk scarf matches the sheen of puffer material, but how the formal dressiness of the silk juxtaposes the informality of the puffers. I find them perfect for extra warmth around the neck - indoors and out.

Thank you all for the comments! I appreciate the input on the dual scarf thing, glad I not the only one doing it.

Sisi, I have recently started wearing cardis as sweaters again.

Irina, the sweatshirt is from a local cat cafe, they have several options: https://shopcrumbsandwhiskers.com/. Apparently, mine is called "Cuddle Puddle". :-)

Angie, thank you so much for the very kind words!

Dee, thanks, berets are the only hats I like on myself.

April, great eye! Yes, the cardi in #1 is from Ted Baker.

Suz, much appreciated. Most of the time playing with cothes works for me as anti-stress therapy.

Suntiger, you are every kind, thanks!

Inge, so nice to see you on the forum. I couldn't agree more on the scarves.

Joy, that makes a lot of sense.

BlueJay, thank you! Mint is one of my favorite greens.

Jaime, thanks. I do like a little drama in the outfits here and there.

Bijou, you are super sweet. I am honored for that outfit to serve as your winter inspiration.

Brooklyn, thanks and challenge accepted! I will do a couple of

blue, green and purple outfits, in a week or two, as I am going away on a short trip for the rest of this week.

Janet, thank you! I also hope to see more mint available.

I love seeing all the greens! The mint is particularly appealing as we approach spring, and I hope to see more of it at retail (not so much yet, it seems, but I’m hoping for more).

As someone who has lightweight “outfit scarves” and heavier “outerwear scarves” I understand the dual scarf thing!

I know it wasn’t part of the mission, but I’d love to see you do blue, green and purple. Such a gorgeous combination.

I am swooning at #10 as inspiration for my winter. I adore the combination of winter white and soft aqua tones together.

I often do something similar to your 2-scarf formula for added warmth, especially if my hair is up,leaving the neck more exposed. I usually pair the same scarves.

These are all so good, Tanya! And you have such a fab wardrobe! Loving the sassy vibe in photo 4 with your plaid jacket and beret! Those tuxedo striped pants are also beautiful, and you look amazing in your teddy coat (so good with the beret again too, and your light-coloured boots).

I'm not really wearing smaller scarves indoors right now, but yes, I used to do the same thing: add a larger scarf for outside in the colder months. I always say: the more scarves, the merrier:-)

You look great in them all but my personal favourites are 4, 5, 6, 7 and 1. I love the cheeky short checked jacket! Especially with the cap. The sweater in 1 is beautiful!

Re. the two scarves - I don't, only because I don't wear shorter scarves. Would I? In a heartbeat; I hate being cold.

I also sometimes put outdoor winter gloves over my fingerless gloves, though this generally doesn't work unless I use Mr. A's winter gloves. (And yes, every time it doesn't work, I hear the late Johnny Cochran in my mind. "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit.")

But I digress. Nice work with these formulas! You know I love a good green and these combinations are lovely. Is the cardi in #1 from Ted Baker?

You look fab in all of these outfits ! My favorite is #1 - I love the combination of black-white-floral print and I have always had a soft spot for cardis worn as sweaters. But I like them all. The delicate shades of # 8 make me think of a vanilla /mint ice-cream. :)
Wearing a silk scarf under another scarf is an excellent strategy to keep warm, not strange at all !

I had a bit of extended fun with this outfit formula for the past two weekends, as well as some off-duty occasions last week. I did multiple versions of the first three outfits. There are 9 outfits total, 2 relatively close interpretations of the blog formula for each, two WFH versions of the first two, and one very loose interpretation of the first one.

First formula, Subtle Approach:
1) (#1-2) The closest interpretation, with the black cardigan with green floral print buttoned up and worn as a top, and a matching neckerchief. They were combine with slim wide white cropped jeans, black stompy boots, cropped faux leather puffer, cream beret, polka-dot scarf and black & white crossbody.
2) (#3-4) Similar to above, the touch of soft green is in scarf instead of pattern on the top. Cropped black sweater, white cuffed jeans, black booties, sage green scarf. For the outdoor: short plaid jacket, plaid beret, big mint scarf and the same crossbody.
3) (#5) The WFH version, with navy instead of black. Navy sweatshirt with front silk panel with some light green in it, cream wide crop sweatpants, white sneakers.
4) (#6-7) Looser interpretation, that follows the color palette (navy, soft green and white), but adds more soft green. Soft green twinset, wide cropped jeans, cream stompy boots, silk scarf in all the three colors, navy tweed puffer, cream bag and cream beret.

Second formula, Light Neutrals:
5) (#8-10) Mint pants with side stripe in cream and tan, cream cashmere sweater, tan booties, cream coat, beret and bag, and mint scarf.
6) (#11-12) Mint cropped kick flare pants, and everything else in cream: cable cashmere sweater, teddy coat, booties, crossbody, and beret.
7) (#13) A WFH version, with cropped sage drawstring pants, my favorite white sweatshirt with cats, and white sneakers.

Third formula, Bright Green and Soft Blue:
These two outfits pulled the colors from a little silk scarf (#16), that had soft blue, soft green, bright green and even some lilac. I broke down an old bright green ponte suit into separates and played with combining them within this color palette.
8) (#14-15) Soft green ribbed sweater, pale blue wide leg cargo pants, bright green blazer, white sneakers and pearl grey bag.
9) (#17-18) Soft green cashmere tee, soft blue boucle moto, bright green culottes, white booties, pearl grey crossbody. Usually a gap between booties and cropped pants bothers me, but not here as the pants are wide enough to look like a skirt.

I did not add the Finds of the individual items, as I usually do, as there would be quite a few of them. The only exception, my favorite sweatshirt ever, a Christmas present from a dear friend.

A random note, which is that in cold weather, when I want to wear a little silk scarf indoors, I often add a warmer scarf for the outdoors, which is then removed inside. It feels slightly strange to be wearing two scarves, but it keeps me warm. Do you do something similar?
