If you look for DarK Autumn makeup recommendations you can find good ideas for specific shades for your season from both drugstore level and department store level brands. The Concept Wardrobe also has them for a fee, but I found plenty of free content. You can cross reference those with reviews of the specific products you are considering to see if they are likely to have the coverage you want. So many longstanding permanent products were discontinued the last few years that it’s a hard change to accept. For example, MAC discontinued a ton of longstanding colors, products and formulas recently—just gone forever. L'Oreal changed their fabulous longstanding mascara formulas and it's really awful. (The reviews are all 1 star, begging for them to return to old formulas.) I generally try to stay very positive, but the last couple years in makeup world have felt discouraging. The smaller companies are wonderful, and I do use some. The problem for me is that the larger companies had longtime Dark Autumn blushes that are fairly unique. One thing mentioned to me is how I can tend to make other women/mothers feel intimidated. I show up dressed to the nines even when dressing causally and that’s enough to alienate a bit. Nothing wrong this of course. It’s who I am. The suggestion was to limit to one accessory and piece of jewelry, and not pile it on. Cream blushes are so nice, very hydrating in look and feel. I haven’t yet tried them much, other than using a lipstick on my cheeks occasionally. Even secondhand, NARS tends to run quite expensive. Thankfully, the old formula is so heavily pigmented it lasts a long time.</p> <p><b>Lisa</b>, you might try looking around on eBay, etc. for new blushes being resold. That said, I’m not sure yet what brand to replace NARS' blushes with at this point. MAC has discontinued a lot of products the last 3-4 years too, blushes included. I know there are other good brands out there, it’s just hard to lose such a lovely product that’s been around for 15-20+ years or find something on par with similar colors and formula. Makeup lately has been very challenging to navigate, imo. L’Oreal changed the formula of their mascaras. It's so bad that everyone is mad about the change and has begged for L’Oreal to go back to the old formula. (No idea why they changed it either.) Mascara especially is hard for me; I find one that really works for me and that’s what I use. Nars discontinued Taos :’( so upset. Nars reformulated their blushes to remove talc, due to new EU standards. I bought a blush in the new formula and it is horrible. Hardly any pigment pay off and it doesn’t blend the same. They also disc Taos, one of their longest running colors and a signature for me. </p>
