And thanks for all the comments on my hair - I often think that more layers around my face is more flattering than one length but I'm going to stick with this for a while. The interesting thing about the coat is that it's structure is really very simple - collar, lapels, sewn-on pockets. There are no darts or other shaping details. I think it's the cut, the scale and placement of the plaid, the width of the body, and the classic collar/lapels that give it more structure than a shacket.
