Good luck! I've done 33/3,and found it both liberating and annoying - so much faster getting dressed, but gas! I miss my "friends"! Lol

Suz, in my defense a lot of really great pants didn't make the cut. It was still 16 pair. I have 6 toppers so I guess we'll see how it works out. I only have 18 tops. It still only puts tops in a 2 week rotation. I also have a work uniform so these are only for days off. I only have 2 days this week where I get to dress. My biggest problem is that I only have 3 hot weather tops. I should get cooler weather by the second half of sept. I also end up covered in dog fur by the end of the day so it is one wear per wash.

Exciting! I will be following with interest.

At first, I was amazed by the number of pants. I thought, how the heck is she going to get 40 items when 20 of them are pants? But hearing that you really love statement pants, it makes sense. Plus, those are cool pants you've got there. :-)

I'll bet most people would be the opposite; they would be okay repeating pants but not tops. But I think you're right -- statement bottoms can make an outfit a lot more than we recognize.

I am doing a 4 week capsule with Angie's 11 items (plus footwear and belts and scarf and such). Eeek! 40 items is more like what i usually have. This will be tighter -- but it is only my work at home casual capsule and won't cover my "events" for the month of September. I get to wear different stuff then.

All the recent talk about the capsules and the 33 piece wardrobe has me wondering if I really could function in this manner and not hate every minute of it. I decided to see how the other half lives and try the small wardrobe. I'll be using Suz's 6 season and calling sept- oct a season. I'm using 40 as my wardrobe size and not counting outerwear or shoes in the total. I'm also not counting things that are part of my work uniform or undershirts.
1. Kut black bootcuts
Kut grey skinnies
Jag pewter coated skinnies
DKNY skinnies
Kut blue bootcuts
Jolt straightlegs

Self Esteem military jacet for juicy vest
From here on, I'm gonna try to stick with this with the exception of the military jacket. If I find an upgrade I'll swap out.

My thoughts going in, this is not a lot of clothes. All the tops fit in one drawer and didn't fill it. and the pants and toppers only took 30 inches of closet space. I have a lot of pants in relation to tops but my tops are more basic and I'll mind repeating them less. I have an unnatural love of statement pants.
If you've read this far, bless you.
