I think Diane is right. The issue is not too much of the print, it's that the prints come close to matching but not enough to look intentionally matchy-matchy. I wear animal print shoes and bag together a lot, but I combine a larger scale print on the bag with a smaller, slightly different print on the shoes. I think the bag reads as cooler and darker compared to the yellow-toned, lighter vibe of the shoe. In the pinterest pic the cuff and clutch seem on a similar tone range. So I guess I'm saying I like the principle of the idea.
