I was in Target the other day, but what was left of the collection was very picked over. I think all that was left was the scratchy, wrinkled fabric stuff. Looks like the collection was kind of hit-and-miss in terms of quality. The crane sweater is amazing, and so is the skirt! I'm so glad they worked for you. And what a relief to have a replacement for your Paris top. But I still think you need to go back to Paris. Ah.   So I took the hook.   I picked up the sweater that I reserved <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/targetaltuzarra">(mentioned in this thread)</a>  Let me take a sideways leap here and comment on how easy the pickup-in-store option was.   My card was 'reserved' for the total amount + tax when I reserved the sweater.   I was notified via email and text, as was my BF, who I designated as an alternate to pick up my item.    When I went today and picked up the sweater, the charge officially went through, and the receipt was emailed. I put the sweater in my car and ran back inside to pick up a few groceries... and of course, I happened past the ladies' department - and I saw they still had a lot of Altuzarra pieces, so I looked and tried some stuff on. Impressions: I tried on: 1)   The black blazer with the tuxedo lapel, single button, and brocade ruffle (left behind): "Jaunty" was the first word that came to my mind when I tried it on the XS.   I felt like the Beau Brummel of Cats in the show.    LOVED the back view, loved the hip/peplum in front, loved the shoulder.... BUT.   The bust was just that little bit too tight, and there isn't room to move the button.   The XS jacket is not made for a busty gal. This would be cute on a wide variety of slightly taller, slightly smaller chested women (I wear a 30DDD) The S was too big in the sleeves, shoulder, and armholes and too long in the waist  :( I felt like these jackets ran true to size. 2)   The black brocade skirt (bought):   I fell in love with this on-sight.   I didn't realize the brocade would be a python print.   It looks really groovy and the fabric reminded me very much of my grandmother's astrakhan and brocade 1960's jacket (I wish I had that jacket). I tried on the 4 and the 6, and in truth, there didn't seem to be that much difference in the hip - in fact, the 6 felt too snug in the hip and too loose in the waist. I think this skirt runs a size small - normally I wear a 2 in skirts, and the 4 felt like a generous 2.   The 6 felt like a 4, but again, almost the same size in the hip as the smaller size. I bought the 4 because I liked the way the pattern matched up on the seams better than the 6. 3.   The crane sweater (bought and LOVE):  This sweater is going to be the winter replacement for my beloved Moulin Rouge top, which is starting to wear out (SIGH.   Must go back to Paris).    I love everything about it.   The cranes and the way the shoulder drapes makes me think of <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/with-the-recent-talk-of-ruffles">Alexis Carrington on Dynasty.</a> In the end, the skirt and the sweater are things I would have bought, regardless of what the tag says.   They're just very 'me'.     I didn't try on, but looked at: The tan/brown python print skirt and top:   As a skirt and top, I thought the quality was commensurate with the nicer skirts and tops at Target by their house brands.   If you're looking for a WOW collab piece... this was kind of meh, I thought. Red Velvet Tuxedo Pants:   CUTE.   No idea of the fit.   But I thought these were very fetching.   But not an every day kind of piece, so I don't know how practical it was. Wrap-front silky burgundy-red dress:   I would have tried this on if it were in my size, although I am pretty sure it's not my color.  70's disco-glamtastic. Black Cranes Sleeveless Dress:   This was beautiful, and theoretically it was in my size, but when I held it up, I already knew it was too long in the torso for shorty-me.  Reviews say it runs small in the hip. Black sleeveless chiffon top with white bow:   So pretty in the picture, the textile is scratchy and cheap-looking in person.   I can't imagine that on my skin. Orchid Dress & Orchid Sweater:   Because I love Asian and tropical themes, I wanted to love these - but uniformly, it looks like the printed, silky part of the top, is wrinkled and not sewn properly to whatever lining it has.  Every one of these tops and dresses looked like this, regardless of size.   I don't know if that's a sewing/design flaw, or if it was just wrinkled from transport/try-ons. Blue striped top & Blue striped top/python skirt dress:   No.   Just no.   I didn't like the striped fabric, it was scratchy and flimsy, and I suspect, something that will hold the heat against your body better than aluminum foil. Black flared skirt/Black flared dress with lace trim:   I thought these were both pretty cute, and I really liked the look of the lace - but the feel of the lace indicated it would probably drive the wearer nuts, like having hundreds of eyelashes poking into your skin around your neckline.    The dress/skirt fabric felt very nice.   The overall design on the hanger looked lovely, but not remarkable.    I didn't have time to try these on. Over-the-Knee boots:   I just opened the box and peeked in.   They are faux leather, and in truth, I've seen better faux leather on over-the-knee boots at that price point or just a little higher.  I feel like one wrong brush against concrete or brick,, and I'd be putting in overtime with a Sharpie marker.    Grannie boots:   Same impression. Black and red sequin scarf:  Target's house brands are much nicer for touch and design, in my opinion.   But worth a look if you like black and red. The lingerie:  Pretty, but I don't need another black pair of satin tap pants, and those tops never fit me.   Definitely worth a look if you are able to wear camis comfortably without any other support.
