(I have the olive polka dots, and should have the bumblebees later this week.) I've worn it twice and received compliments both times. The shaping at the waist and bust, plus the length (just below the knee on me) take it up a notch from the typical t-shirt dress. </p> <p>I have nothing but good things to say about my white Kut Helena jacket -- perfect dress topper. I've had it for almost a year. It got a yellow stain on the chest pocket (from going through the wash with a concert ticket in the pocket, oops!). I scrubbed it with The Laundress brand stain remover, washed it, sundried it, then did an overnight oxyclean soak, washed it again, left it in the sun again, and now it's looking very crisp and new. This is in part because it really should be retired as it has grown very thin over time and has a yellow cast., and in part because I am wearing a lot of white jeans and I want to avoid the 'Canadian Tuxedo' look. However, I had the opportunity to wear my favourite outfit from last year out to Bridge Night tonight. </p> <p>Unfortunately, this is currently my only day dress, and being a favourite and 3 years old it too, is showing wear. I must confess that I originally bought it as a bathing suit cover-up for a 2015 late winter escape vacation, and it ended up being an easy dress during hot summer when paired with a white jacket and white footwear.</p> <p>I didn't get on board the dress buying train earlier this year, because I didn't know what my RL would be like going into retirement. I now realize that I don't want to spend all my time in pants, but I don't need the same kind of dresses that I wore to my job. I feel like I am kind of, but not quite starting over with my wardrobe! </p>
