DH, DS and I just got back from two glorious weeks' vacation in Victoria, BC - one of my favourite cities in Canada. Nothing like family time by the ocean :)</p> <p>In my travel capsule, I included a heavy dose of Eileen Fisher that included both my black and blue drape front dresses (fab for pairing with my denim vest and black sneakers for daytime wandering and then dressing up for dinner by changing to sandals, removing the vest and adding a cuff and clutch). I also included my black EF ankle pants, black EF asymmetrical sleeveless tunic, grey EF asymmetrical sleeveless tank, white denim Bermuda shorts, white denim jacket, denim vest, black tee, white tee, black Vionic sandals , black sneakers, white Vionic walking shoes, citron clutch and cognac back pack. The capsule was simply black and white where everything could mix and match seamlessly. The cognac backpack went with both the black and the white and added some richness to the colour palette. And the citron clutch was just pure fun. </p> <p>We haven't traveled in quite some time and I quickly discovered this is EXACTLY what I want from my wardrobe and how I want to dress - simple, quality, well fitting pieces that I can move in comfortably and yet never look or feel sloppy in. Eileen Fisher - you are my best style friend and I am quickly wanting nothing more in my closet than your beautiful pieces!</p> <p>Speaking of which, we found a store in Victoria that sells EF and I came home with four new pieces - black silk blend shorts, black elbow length jersey tunic, blue drop shoulder dolman 3/4 length sleeve tunic and cream silk tee. These pieces will mix perfectly with what I already have in my wardrobe. The shorts I've already worn four times and the silk tee will be all season - on its own now and layered under cardigans and jackets come autumn. </p> <p>The two tunics are interesting in that she had them in both petite and regular sizing and we went with regular sizing in both of them. I preferred the length in regular as they had more versatility with that bit of extra length. The blue tunic can be worn as a shirt dress with bare legs in warmer fall days and then with tights and boots once colder. And the black tunic flared a bit at the hip in the petite length but hung much nicer in the regular.</p> <p>I got my orthotics a week before we left and so had gotten used to them by the time we went. They worked brilliantly in both my black sneakers and the white Vionic walking shoes. The black Vionic sandals were just as comfortable and I was able to walk for miles pain free. The Vionic footwear was purchased shortly before our vacation and I was so glad they worked as well as they did.</p> <p>Have included a few quick pics from Victoria, my Vionic footwear and my new EF pieces. My take away from the last two weeks: EF will become my wardrobe pretty much exclusively and Vionic footwear works brilliantly for my PF. </p>
