I really like the tunic on you except for the belt, and the way you have styled it with the leggings. Another vote for cutting the belt off at the seams or opening the seam where it's attached, removing the belt, and resewing the seam. That way you wouldn't need a belt to cover.

I think the tunic looks cute on you too, and agree with the others about cutting off the self belt and covering the remnants with a sleek leather belt instead. But! If it truly makes you unhappy to wear it, ditch it.

I find cardigans problematic too, and I've gotten rid of most of mine since I find jackets much more to my liking. However, I did manage to "toughen up" a cardigan I was determined to keep, to make it more my style:

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....up-a-cardi

I think the key for me was to make sure the rest of the outfit was casual and a bit rock'n'roll, so I would have felt completely comfortable even without the cardigan. The fact that you tried your cardigan over something you didn't feel very fab in may have worked against the cardi. I suspect that a denim jacket might be a better companion for the tunic outfit, and the cardi might work better with skinnies and boots.

I also really like this tunic on you -- I'd snip the belt also and see if I could belt it in a different spot or with a wider belt. Those colours are excellent on you.

I agree with Zap, this is my favourite outfit for you so far. The pattern is so fun. You can snip the belt off and I agree with your observation about cardigans especially long ones. I have a few of those in my closet and they dont get much wear.

Try a wide belt or no belt and longer or maybe lighter colored (grey?) leggings. I think longer leggings would improve the look of the cardigan, too. You look great here, but 0% happy is no good!

If it's possible to remove the belt, I would, and maybe even shorten the tunic. It's a cute pattern, but if it doesn't make you feel fab, it's time for it to go.

I love that pattern! I like the red shoe, but do you have a strappy sandal in black or brown? I don't think the cardi look is frumpy, but I'm a cardi girl

I would definitely get rid of the belt and try a wider one like Janet said. If it still doesn't feel right then let it go. With regards to the cardi I'm feeling that there is something slightly off with proportions thats all. perhaps it should be almost the same length as th tunic?

I think the tunic is really cute. If you can't snip the belt, can you just belt over it with a wider belt to cover the self fabric one? The geometric print is nice!

I like the tunic on you. How about you snip that belt and add a wide belt for definition and cinching at the waist. Also, I think the tunic would look nice with full-length leggings. The cardigan looks good with the outfit and not frumpy.

I think this tunic/dress needs to go. I have tried to love it, but I just don't like the way it feels on me. The stupid belt that is attached to the dress in an awkward way sits uncomfortably on the part of my body I'm most self conscious about.

Couldn't decide what shoes to wear - settled on 2. I'm really not feeling fab today. Or maybe I'm just tired.

Oh and cardigans - you know I posted that they just feel frumpy no matter what I do? Here's an example. Note: I didn't wear the cardi out, because it was too hot, but I figuredI would try the cardi out with different items to prepare for when we do eventually have some cooler weather.
