So everyday I add an event for that day, and rate the happiness factor in that day's WIW. The title of the event is either a brief description of the outfit or my happiness factor or both, or how much in line it is with my style goal. I scroll down and mark it in a calendar I created called "OHF" (Outfit happiness factor). This has forced me to reflect on my WIW in actual words instead of only thoughts. Students always enjoy that and as younger readers, I find they "get" surrealism and the importance of dreams quicker. I do a fun experience with them after having repeated the word "dream" nonchalantly in the first portion of the class, I have them do 3 minutes of automatic writing - where they must keep writing no matter what, even if they write "I'm writing I'm writing I'm writing...". When they read it out afterwards, we'll find that a lot of them will have started out by describing their dream life, dream car, dream job, and then, when that's out of the way, they continue on a very different tengeant (life and death, meaning of life, life on other planets, friendship, etc). And I tell them: the second part is what you really have in your heart and what you should listen to. They love it. I felt badass (+), tried to rock ultra casual rubber lace-up booties (+) but they have a round toe (-), which I understand is essential for the look, but it's something I struggle with and am trying to learn to see differently.</p> <p></p>
