Sorry I was a little unclear about the sandals -- those are my Doc Monas. I also brought a pair of black Ecco Bouillon sandals, which work out nicely along with my Crocs for casual use. I got a lot of comments on my purple hat, and I ended up buying a cobalt blue straw fedora.</p> <p>It was REALLY hot in Vegas (I think the hottest I noticed was 114 deg F). Too hot to lie about next to the pool, but I was able to spend a good amount of time at a lovely spa (Canyon Ranch). </p> <p>Fashionwise, everything definitely goes, from ultra-casual to ultra-lux. Evenings brought out many young club-goers in really short, tight dresses and high heels (which often ended up being carried rather than worn). And when did Vegas turn out to be shopping central? Thanks for all your packing advice; it was very helpful. I picked the the Ecco Bouillon t-straps from Nordstrom yesterday and wore them around - I am optimistic that they will work for the trip. </p> <p>My cropped jeans are a super pale blue with white stripes. And I couldn't resist wearing my purple straw cowboy hat from Mexico. </p>
