I would lengthen the pants by 1 or 2 inches, but that's because I find the current style of in-between full length and crop very awkward. But if you like the current style, they look great. The ruched dress looks great on you, and I would not change it.

Yes to lengthening the pants, but no to dress if it'll be complicated to do. Love outfit 6 most!

Brilliantly outfits as usual! My favorite is the blush pink, just because I have a soft spot for pink. I like them all though.
I think the dress waist looks good as is. I I would make the pants either longer or shorter. I’m not a pants length expert though!!

Thank you all for your input! The votes are pretty unanimous, to leave the dress as is, and lengthen the pants a bit, which is exactly what I will do.

Nomad, thanks, I finally found a denim dress I liked.

Angie, it is always fun to have a twin item with you!

Suz, yes, Veronica Beard tends to fit me and my log torso pretty well. And yes, I stalk their items pretty relentlessly, with mixed but sufficient success. My comfort zone is when their pieces are discounted enough so their prices match un-discounted items from brands like J. Crew or BR. It was easier to do until the crazy inflation started this past 1.5 years.

Irina and LJP, agreed that looser fit looks more contemporary.

Jaime, light blue is my favorite pseudo-neutral, I find it very easy to wear.

Lyn67, that is a great idea, thank yo! I will play with some belts.

RobinF, thanks! The elongating jeans are now my go-yo whenever I need a little pick-me-up.

Cat2, thank you, the VB brand cuts are well suited to my body proportions, even if I have to hem all the long pants/jeans.

Star, much appreciated! I like the to do the same color head-to-toe occasionally, and feel braver with more muted colors.

Great outfits! I also like the dress with the waist as is - breezier as Angie noted. Love the jeans/halter outfit, they really are leg elongating! And the all pink outfit is killer! Love the pink loafers.

These are so lovely! Looks gorgeous!
I think you should leave a dress alone, looks more contemporary when it’s slightly looser on the body. But with pants, I would go for a longer length.

What beautiful outfits, Tanya. You really do look springlike in these colours -- so pretty, feminine, and cohesive. You do so well with Veronica Beard! Wow. Do you stalk the items? Knowing you get a good fit from this brand must be quite helpful.

My favourite outfit is the dress with jacket and t-strap shoes -- just WOW! But I also really love the blush outfit (that Reiss jacket is gorgeous) and ditto the halter top with jeans.

I understand the issue with the pants. These are like my Club Monacos (same pant, different colourway) and while I could have worn them sort of/ kind of at the "new full length" for me they just didn't feel quite right. So I had mine cropped. But I think they would look great let down a little, too. Since there is a seam allowance, why not undo the hem and pin in a few places and see how it feels. I think for me, as a relatively shorter legged person, I prefer either full length OR cropped and I struggle a bit with the betwixt and between. That is not universal, though. I do have a pair of boot cuts hemmed to a "between" length and I like those.

I LOVE YOUR SPRING OUTFITS! So pretty, light, dressy, and on trend. What a joy it is to see you have fun with your carefully curated yet extremely varied wardrobe :)

KILLER all round!

Pics #2 and #5 = KILLER the the Power of KILLER

*waving to my blush pants twin* .....will wear mine this week!

To answer your questions:

Personally, I think the length of the blush pants works extremely well with these loafers! But you might prefer them longer with boots. In that case let them down about two inches.

Leave the waist of the dress! Don't alter. Breezier in Summer.

I love that denim dress on you! Casually elegant and romantic.

It's a little hard to see the waist issue with the striped dress, but it looks fine from the front. Very cute asymmetry.

And I'm far from an expert on pant lengths, but my vote would be for lengthening at least another inch. I'm a slow adopter to new silhouettes so it's very possible my eye is off, but right now they look a little in-between to me.

We continued to have summerlike weather this week, and it was fun to dress for it. Next week is expected to cool off some, to more usual spring temperatures.

While it wasn't planned, I ended up wearing lots of blues this week, in four out of five outfits. There are two office outfits here, for which I have questions about possible alterations; and three "play" outfits.

1) A blush-out for work (#1-2), consisting of blush wide pants, blush lace blouse, a beige-blush blazer, and taupe-blush chunky loafers. This blazer is a rare item in beige color family that I can actually pull off, as it has strong blush undertones.
Alteration question: pants length. These pants are meant to be cropped, but on the short-legged me are sort of the new shorter full length, right below the ankle bone. I actually want them full length, not cropped. There is plenty of material (2-3") in the hem, so they can be let out. Thus, is the length OK as is or should I have them lengthened and approximately by how much?

2) The 2nd work outfit (#3-5) is blue striped shirtdress with blue t-strap shoes, and with cropped linen jacket for the office AC.
Alteration question: dress waist. I purposefully bought the dress a size up for a bit up blousiness in the upper body. It is fairly fluid everywhere, and there is about 2" extra material in the waist, which is the only area giving me a pause. The material is non-stretchy and the cut a bit complicated, so wondering if I should just let it be as is or consult with my tailor about possible waist alteration. #3 is the dress as is, in #4 I am holding the extra material back.

3) I have already posted this outfit on my cargo thread, but including it here for completeness (#6-7). For a cat cafe visit & a nice dinner, blue cutout top with blue wide cargos, black lace blazer, white sandals and satchel and polka-dot scarf.

4) For a dinner at a more casual restaurant (#8), a denim dress, accessorized with black rosette choker, studded black sandals and black cross-body.

5) For lunch earlier today at relatively casual restaurant (#9), silk floral halter blouse, blue jeans, blue shoes and pearl grey cross body bag. These are my current favorite jeans, as they have both darker side stripes and side slits, which are I love for their leg elongating effects.
