The problem (with a same color cami too) is that there's no such thing as a cami that matches the hemline of the top, so there will always be a line with dark bottoms. (Forgive my bad memory). </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-x4-more-summer-outfits#post-1504162 Wed, 10 Jun 2015 21:31:03 +0000 Diana 1504162@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Another crop of mostly work outfits.&nbsp; I can't think of a clever title today!&nbsp; The jacket version of most of these outfits is mostly for indoors, as it's usually frigid in my lab and on the bus, but it's definitely hot and humid and summery outdoors now.&nbsp; </p> <p>1-2: I wore this one to work and then out to the South End to see Mochi's photography show (which was fantastic!).&nbsp; It was a 12+ hour day so I tried to find a balance between comfortable and arty/edgy.&nbsp; I like the juxtaposition here between what is essentially pajama pants and the blazer from my (conservative, black) suit.&nbsp; <br />(BR blazer, AT tee and necklace, Gibson pants, Seychelles booties, Via Spiga bag).</p> <p>3-4: A new summer dress I bought at the Nordstrom sale (find below).&nbsp; The dress is rather boho so I paired it with my cognac Dankso platform sandals.&nbsp; It has a self tie belt but I might swap it for a leather one next time.<br />(Caslon dress, Dansko sandals, AE jacket)</p> <p>5-6: Asymmetrical handknit linen top with my favorite cropped breeches.&nbsp; Last year I meant to add some ruching to the long side of this top to shorten it just a little bit (but it would still be asymmetrical, never fear) but I never got around to it.&nbsp; I did feel like the top was a little too long (both here and in general - it works better with long pants but for summer I rarely wear those) so I think I should hurry up and do the alteration.&nbsp; Also, I don't love the grinning here but I don't know of another solution - the top is somewhat sheer so it needs a cami underneath but a black one to match the pants would show too much.<br />(handknit top, French connection pants, Aqua jacket, Born oxfords)</p> <p>7-8: a tunic and cropped leggings.&nbsp; Comfy but I find this tunic slightly annoying.&nbsp; It's like just a little too drapey which doesn't always play nicely with the bold stripes.&nbsp; Also, I did not actually wear the jacket version as I accidentally left it at home when I went to work this morning.&nbsp; As a result I'm currently wearing the slightly-too-small emergency cardigan I have at work, which does not look as nice as the jacket.&nbsp; Oh well.&nbsp; <br />(Dorothy Perkins tunic, H&amp;M leggings, Naot sandals, Longchamp bag) </p>
