I would leave the longer length on both for now - I think they look more current. I do take out hems frequently and find that sometimes the crease is a problem as Jenava says but not always. I wear pants that length! They work well with boots. They look a little shorter with loafers and oxfords, but they work! Ankle bone covering is good. No need to lengthen unless you think it will make a difference emotionally. About the length of pants, I can say that I like as it is with sneakers, but try it with other shoes and make decisions. My experience is that shorter length pants don't work with sneakers to me.
