My mom in NJ is still without power but they got the heat back a few days ago. Their building has a cafeteria that was serving some hot food to residents. She and her friends are big tea lovers. As people kept asking if there was any hot water for tea, the management finally set up a hot water urn in addition to the coffee urn.</p> <p>I heard that we had an electrical repair crew from Ohio set camp on the interstate nearby before the hurricane. But we finally got both back today and I'm nice and warm again. The devastation in NJ is amazing. And gas lines are very, very long. Hubby and I are sticking close to home, trying to conserve fuel. My area still is mostly unpowered. I want to hug every utility worker I see right now. I am very thankful for power!</p> <p>While we were waiting out the aftermath of Sandy, here are some outfits.</p> <p>#1-No Power Day 1<br /> Thinking the power loss would only be for one day.</p> <p>#2-No Power Day 2<br /> The house really started to get cold. My solution was to start wearing my Coldgear running clothing. I had the hoodie covering my head all day.</p> <p>#3-No Power Day 3<br /> Cold and depressed, full Coldgear outfit with lots of layering. The highlight of the day was wandering the neighborhood talking to neighbors. One neighbor had a generator powering a Keurig and even though I prefer tea, that was the best cup of coffee. </p> <p>#4-No Power Day 4<br /> Trying to feel like I am not so isolated I dressed as if I were going out. As you can see from the outfit recap below, lots of layers again. My fleece lined tights were very handy!</p> <p>#5-No Power Day 5<br /> We finally got power back today, and I am very happy to repeat yesterday's outfit with less layering.</p> <p>Thanks for looking! </p>
