I am really happy I chose the plaid and confess to planning a couple of outfits around my coat.<br /> JenniNZ, yes it is a raincoat, but I don’t think it will keep me dry in a heavy downpour. I’ll give it a try, but will likely opt for a heavier coat with a hood for the worst weather.<br /> Staysfit, I’ll let you know how the hats work. Both of the hats I ordered have an adjustable band for a better fit.....will that be enough for a strong wind? I don’t know yet. Many bucket hats are offered with chin straps, so maybe you and I will both have to go that route.<br /> Thank you Elizabeth P, Runcarla, Lyn, Joy, JAileen, Aliceinwonderland, Karen and Brooklyn. My mother always wears them when it rains. Whenever I have tried, they fly off in the wind even if they seem to fit my small head! I probably need a chin strap.
