You wouldn't mind, would you? ;)</p> <p>As for the bee sting, I always find that in New England at this time of year, bees and wasps and stingy things are the most dangerous. They get very loopy right before hibernating. I think they alternate between drowsiness -- low, slow flying; stumbling around on the ground -- and then moments of bright, frantic energy on warmer days. And when they sting, they sting really hard and they hang on for dear life. DD got some terrible hornet stings a couple of Octobers ago. Note that I am not a scientist so this may be total bunk, but I am a fairly keep observer. Or maybe I just live in the midst of really insane insect life. And your hair looks great too!</p> <p>The&nbsp; yellow jackets were particularly problematic for us this year.&nbsp; They seem to have gone now but during the summer DH had an "attack" at the grill and got stung multiple times on his face!&nbsp; Luckily he seems to have no allergy at all and didn't even have pain. I was kind of freaked out at first, thinking it was going to cause a severe reaction. The hand feels better this morning -- it's still puffy, but I can bend the thumb most of the way now. It was so weird, I felt the sting and looked down, and there it was, sitting right at the edge of my cycling glove -- I shook my hand to try to get him to fly off, all the while trying to brake gently with my other hand (I'd been going about 15mp, and there was a family walking with a small toddler in the middle of the trail right in front of me, which complicated things a little further -- I apologized to them for my language upon getting stung!). I've now heard stories of wasps flying inside helmets and sunglasses too, so I just always need to keep in mind not to panic when something like that happens. </p> <p>That tee is a fun piece, but I've always worn it in a more dressed up way. I'm trying to come up with new combinations for old pieces, rather than depend on buying new pieces to feel excited by fashion. I tried on a few things at the Rack yesterday, but I didn't love any of them enough to invite them home with me. I got stung on the thumb by a yellow jacket while biking -- I'm allergic but not severely, but it had been many years since I'd been stung, so I wasn't sure how my body would react. Fortunately, I only had about 3 miles to go back to my car. </p> <p>So, once I got some Benadryl in me, I zonked out and had a 3-hour nap, which I never do unless I'm sick! I feel like I lost most of the day! </p> <p>When I finally got myself together to go out and run some errands, I decided to break out this metallic leather tee and wear it in a casual way. Was unsure about whether to semi-tuck or not, but here are both versions. Trouvé tee, Paige jeans, Asos booties, Sam Edelman tote. Included a close up of my booties so you can see the stud detail.</p> <p>One of my errands was to return these LAMB booties (pic 4) that I got at Nordstrom Rack, in hopes that they would work with thick socks. Alas, no go. They slip off my heels badly no matter what. Ah well, on to the next thing. </p> <p>Oh, my hair is freshly cut and colored, but it was really hard to dry it properly with my non-working thumb (I still can't quite bend it even now, 8 hours later). So this is with minimal styling. :-)</p> <p>Comments &amp; suggestions always welcome. </p>
