Warning: photo heavy!</p> <p><b>1-3:</b> navy skirt leggings, black long-sleeve tee, black long cardi, black ankle boots.</p> <p>One of the things I was aiming for during this week was exploring <u>more possibilities for that signature blue and burgundy color combination</u>. Here’s one with a double scarf, my vintage teacup-print scarf, and new-to-me blue bird-print.</p> <p><b>4-5:</b> black ponte leggings, black popover tunic, burgundy long cardi, black patent tassel loafers</p> <p>Another burgundy-blue combo, with the sweater and scarf. After wearing my gray jeans with black loafers last week, wanted to see if I could wear them with my ponte leggings as well. <u>I have never worn these pants with anything other than boots before!!!</u> But I like it. I wear nude knee-highs for warmth but even so it’s only a look I can sport on mild days.</p> <p><b>6-7: </b>medium skinny jeans, white pin tuck popover, camel cardi, tan heeled oxfords</p> <p>Now I was on a roll seeing <u>what other unexpected footwear I could pull off</u>…if I can wear skinny pants with my loafers, can I do so with my heeled oxfords as well? (Can you tell this is the part of the winter when I’m bored to death of boots?) I think this is reasonably successful, though I prefer the heels with dresses/skirts.</p> <p><b>8-10:</b> black knit straight skirt, gray floral sweatshirt, black patent tassel loafers.</p> <p>Here’s my version of <u><b>Angie’s</b> pencil skirt + sweatshirt formula</u>. (I don’t have a true pencil skirt, but this merino knit skirt is pretty straight and form-fitting.) I love this and would never have thought of it on my own! I’m having <u>a minor 90s flashback due to the chunky-soled loafers</u>…but I think I am pulling off the look. What say you all?</p> <p><b>11-12:</b> gray skinnies, white tuxedo pleat popover, black jacket-y cardi, cognac tall boots</p> <p>Hmm, I remember feeling like I didn’t like the proportions of the tunic and cardi together but It seems fine in the photo.</p> <p><b>13-14:</b> black ponte leggings, gray/white stripe popover, burgundy long cardi, gray tall boots.</p> <p>Nothing special here.</p> <p><b>15-17:</b> medium skinny jeans, white tuxedo button-up, gray jacket-y cardi, cognac tall boots.</p> <p>This was my <u>Valentine’s Day outfit</u>. Please appreciate the visual pun I have concocted with a brooch that once belonged to my husband’s Grammy: <u>wearing my heart on my sleeve</u>.</p> <p><b>18-19:</b> gray skinny jeans, black long-sleeve tee, medium-blue cardi, teacup scarf</p> <p>I didn’t love the proportions of this outfit, I felt bulky on the bottom and exposed on the top.</p> <p><b>20: </b>Outerwear shot.</p> <p>Including this because I want to show off <u>my new burgundy scarf! It’s made from an old cardi whose elbows wore out</u>. I was sick of the open waterfall style too but I thought maybe the waterfall part would work as a scarf. I am digging it!</p>
