I actually had two pairs of white jeans and the only time I had wished I had darker bottoms was once&nbsp;on the crammed&nbsp;tram, otherwise they worked perfectly. Pretty good given that I probabily wore white bottoms 60% of the time (30% was beach time and 10% other ).&nbsp;<br />We travelled between Croatia, Bosnia&amp;Herzegovina, Austria and had one-day trip to&nbsp;Italy - across the Alps (right half of the photo #3). That was one of the highlights of the whole trip, as was visiting Motovun, a beautiful small town famous in the region&nbsp;for its film festival, in photo #2.</p> <p><b>Donna,&nbsp;Una, Diane</b>&nbsp;:: thank you.<br /><b><br />Suz</b>&nbsp;:: I think I did learn from you about as many shoes. All my clothes would easily pack in the carry on too, although this is summer clothes which naturally take up less space. But in colder days, I'd layer the bulky things on. I hope you all had a great end of the season and are ready for the next one.</p> </p> <p>I have managed to quickly glance over the forum content a couple of times only, but I generally stayed away from the internet. Otherwise it was a packed schedule in which, for the purpose of travelling (car, plane, coach) between my base locations and other places, I had to repack my suitcase exactly <i>10 times</i> in the past <i>3 weeks</i>, because I didn't need all my clothes with me all the time and didn't fancy lugging around unnecessary stuff. And it was not a problem at all, in fact it was a great feeling to be so relaxed about the <b><a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/my-summer-2012-travel-capsule-whats-in-the-suitcase">selection that made it to my travel capsule</a></b> as my travel wardrobe held up brilliantly. I was ready for anything - dressy and casual, dressed up and comfortable; from extremely hot days at the Adriatic Sea to the cool wind of the Alps; seasons changed before my eyes and within a few hours of one trip, but I was ready.&nbsp;</p> <p>My tried and tested formula of neutrals plus one accent colour was perfect once again - the layering, some pattern mixing, the scarves and a good selection of shoes did the rest of the job in achieving different vibes. The lessons I take from this trip are: </p> <ul> <li><b>a)</b> shoes almost make or break the travel wardrobe -&gt;&nbsp;bring as many as possible;&nbsp;</li> <li><b>b)</b> a pair of dark bottoms (jeans) is a good idea if using public transport in the cities frequently;&nbsp;</li> <li><b>c)</b> have white button-down shirt in the suitcase - it will cover a huge variety of situations, from beach to the theatre.</li> </ul> <p>During this and next week I will be busy with the preparations for the first day of school and I don't know how much time I will actually have for the forum, but I'll be around in some form&nbsp;and I look forward to checking what everyone's up to.</p> <p>Below are just snippets of Where I Was, What I Did, What I Wore and What I Saw.</p>
