I should take pictures in better light so the colors show up (not that my wardrobe is very colorful, but shades like that forest green just get lost in the early morning light), but it's so much easier to snap a decent picture before I run out the door; I usually feel pretty disheveled by the time I get home in the evening! &nbsp;I admire colorful outfits on other people, but feel so much more at home in grays and muted or deep colors. But the world is much more interesting because everyone has different tastes... otherwise there'd be a lot less fun in people watching. :)</p> <p>JuniperGreen, thank you! &nbsp;Aww, I know what you mean about torties in the sun. &nbsp;Mine has some tabby stripes under all those colorful patches, and they show up brilliantly in sunlight. &nbsp;I've had a few friends and coworkers with torties over the years, and I have some theories about common traits.... so far, the ones I've known have all been clever, chatty, impish, hyper-focused when they're getting into mischief (which is often), and completely unrepentant when they get caught. I'm still not tired of these items, though I'm looking forward to being able to swap out some things with the changing of the season.</p> <p>I intended to use last week to wear all the items in the capsule that haven't been used yet, but cool and rainy weather foiled my plans. At least I got a little more wear out of my long-sleeve shirts before it gets sweltering hot again.</p> <p>1. Monday: The same dark forest green dress I've worn before, but this time with a kimono over it for warmth.</p> <p>2. Tuesday: The long sleeves under a short-sleeved jacket feels more casual, but I didn't have any meetings, so it worked well enough.</p> <p>3. Wednesday: Long-sleeve light gray shirt under blazer.</p> <p>4. Thursday: I walked out of the house with the jacket closed and the longer belled sleeves showing (similar long-sleeve under short-sleeve silhouette as Tuesday), but didn't love it, so stuffed the sleeves into the jacket once I got to work. Ah, well.. some experiments work, some don't so much.</p> <p>5. Friday: Black tee under charcoal cardigan.</p> <p>6. Bonus cat picture, because cat.</p> <p>7. Bonus weekend picture: A friend and I got dressed up and went out for dinner and a theater show (The Arabian Nights), because we don't get out much. The show was great! &nbsp;And I'm glad I finally got to wear this LBD, which has been in my closet and never worn since I bought it a few years ago. It's pretty body-con and I wanted to tone it down, so the jacket stayed on all evening (I needed it for warmth anyway). </p>
