Pelicans nest on an island in a lake about 40 miles from us. So we do see them, but it’s always a treat because they’re just so cool. I love seeing them fly in a long line together. My attraction to pink has been a strange thing. I hadn’t worn any pink since I was a little girl and my mother chose my clothes. Saturday. Birding out in the desert is pretty glamorous. I tucked my pants into my socks to avoid ticks. I didn’t get any, thankfully, but I got a bunch of mosquito bites, even with bug spray.<br /> 2. White pelican. We saw quite a few. The photo is askew because I was holding my phone up over the reeds (and my head).<br /> 3. Sunday. Church. It was 38 in the morning. I wasn’t thrilled with this outfit. I wavered between pink and mustard. Mustard would have been better, I think, with this dark grey EF shirtdress. Also, it might be better as a tunic over leggings, maybe. It felt a little too short.<br /> 4. Monday. My usual grey with jeans. EF sandals and seatbelt bag. I went to Kohl’s to buy new underwear and bras.<br /> 5. Tuesday. I always wear pink on Tuesday. Thrifted pink jacket.<br /> 6. Wednesday. Some errands, and an afternoon spent making Get Out The Vote calls. A seatbelt bag and new FP silver flats.<br /> 7. Closeup of shoes.<br /> 8. Thursday. A day spent at home.<br /> 9. Mr. Skunky just got groomed and is extra handsome.<br /> 10. Friday. Errands. Thrifted crops, white denim jacket, EF sandals, seatbelt bag.</p> <p>I wore grey, pink, silver, and denim. All comments welcome. </p>
