I posted it on Facebook (just the shoes) and immediately got likes from college students and guys. Eventually all ages and demographics have liked it too, but the people in my life who know me well think I have lost my mimd! At work, the reaction was favorable, but everyone says they haven't seen this kind of shoe in real life, and/or only in fashion magazines. One girl asked if it was even possible to find them anywhere but second hand shops. Which cracked her up because she didn't mean it how it came out!
