I swear I looked nicer this morning. </p> <p>It's hard to see the details in the vest, but it's a taupe glen plaid with a dark gray flannel scarf-like collar thing attached. I am drawn to pieces that combine classic and edgy in unexpected ways, so this was my first purchase, even before I met up with Angie &amp; the rest of the YLF gang!</p> <p>I tried it with a white shirt, but I didn't like the white untucked -- too much contrast. I think the white shirt will look better tucked with higher-waisted pants, which is a current wardrobe hole for me, as all of those pants are now too big and thus no longer high-waisted! So I went with the more tonal approach, which I like for a casual look. </p> <p>Styling suggestions for the vest are welcome!</p> <p>Vest: Hazel<br /> Blouse: ATL<br /> Jeans: Paige<br /> Boots: Frye<br /> Pin: vintage, inherited from mom </p>
