Love the addition of the jewellery in both looks as well (no advice on the necklaces, sorry). </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-two-variations-on-the-casual-layers-bling-ensemble#post-1739132 Wed, 12 Oct 2016 16:35:41 +0000 Diana 1739132@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Here are a couple of takes on last Friday's ensemble.&nbsp; I got a long overdue haircut as you can see.</p> <p>1-3: today's outfit.&nbsp; I am not really a fan of the super casual shirt-worn-as-jacket look so I substituted my sheer black silk blouse for a dressier take.&nbsp; Layered over a grey&amp;black striped tee and faded black cropped straight jeans.&nbsp; The boots are new, and are the same gold-toe Born boots that Jenn has.&nbsp; I chose a gold necklace to match the boots.&nbsp; For outdoors, I added my Spiegel lemming jacket and a handknit teal shawl/scarf. <br />(Rory Beca blouse, Caslon tee, KUT jeans, Born boots, Spiegel jacket, handknit scarf, ??? necklace, and Longchamp bag.)</p> <p>4-5: plaid shirt and bling, no layers.&nbsp; I wore this to go shopping and I didn't want to have the extra layers to take on and off in the fitting rooms.&nbsp; Paired with my Gap summer flares and gold oxfords - I'm not sure that the dark top half + light bottom half really works all that well.&nbsp; Maybe I should have bookended with dark shoes.&nbsp; What do you think?&nbsp; <br />(Lucky shirt, ??? necklace, Gap jeans, TUMI bag, Born oxfords.)&nbsp; </p> <p>As an aside, I seem to have forgotten how to wear necklaces.... Specifically both of these did not want to stay under the soft collars of my shirts.&nbsp; Is there a trick to this that I have forgotten or is this something that only works with stiffer collars (which I mostly do not wear)? </p>
