Thanks Jonesy- haha! That’s very kind.

Zaeobi- thank you!

I don’t think you can force the moniker - or need one to be stylish! It’s just a bit of fun really for me.

These work so great for you & your moniker - I think the pops of colour from the shoes & bag do add the 'bold' element to the looks. Scooter chic!

I actually prefixed my 'Bird of Paradise' moniker with either 'Practically Polished' or 'Unruffled' to make it more dressy or casual respectively. But I think I might need to simplify further into one catchall moniker, since I'm still finding it difficult to integrate my preference for textures (fewer colours in one look) into my style direction these days.

I think somehow even though some of your outfits are more minimalist and some are more classic (maybe a little boho?), there is a cohesion and everything works really well! I think the grown up Charlie's Angel vibe does shine through, for sure. You and your husband look splendid in the wedding pic--what would a wedding be without a little family drama, lol!

I don't have a moniker, so I am untethered and very loose in how I dress each day.

Thanks Carol - I love this cognac bag - it is a NZ brand called Deadly Ponies and I purchased it second hand! I love it so much.

Jaime - I don't always think about it when I get dressed or shop - but when I am stumped or bored it inspires me. I think whatever works:)

Thanks kkards - I felt great in this outfit - and it was a very happy day - there was some ongoing drama with some of the family attending so I was pleased it all went well!! And it was fun to have a wedding on the beach but hard to walk in shoes.

Thanks Ket - my issue is staying on the breezy and not slipping into the scruffy/sloppy......

Thanks Suz - exactly!!

Thanks Angie - what a lovely comment. I have darkened my hair - it's a bit too dark right now but in a week I will like it again. I was getting too blonde for a while - it was too hard to maintain for my hair that grows very fast.

L'Abeille - haha! I agree - and I look forward to your city slicker look.

Suntiger - I struggle more in winter too. I don't find pattern easy to obtain. I think texture is the key for people like us and that's where I want to develop my style a bit more - a couple of suede or suede look pieces along with something shiny but natural looking as well.

I love the yellow mules Jenni - they are easy to wear socially. Tracking made me realise though that practical items are my most worn pieces too - not floral dresses. Maybe colourful sneakers would be good on you - I could see red sneakers working really well for your style - have you ever looked at Rollies - they have fun and practical styles.

Thanks Dee - I think that describes your style well and I do think not everyone needs a moniker - it took me about seven years to get one.

Thanks Star - what a nice comment. I do not see myself as Farrah Fawcett or Jaclyn Smith at all - but I do love that sort of style still, smart pants looks, with a bit of glamour. I need to practice my blow out!

I like that cognac bag. Either you shop well, or you just wear clothes well, because these outfits all look so comfortable and confident. I haven’t seen a lot of Charlie’s angels …I remember a lot o f uncomfortable heels. But you definitely embrace their beachy vibe.

Hmm, what is my moniker? Anyway, you look consistently your fabulous self in all of these. I think we all have different aspects of our style for different settings and occasions. That is why a concept like grown up Charlie's Angels is actually a lot more useful than anything more prescriptive.

I love the idea of getting dressed each day by asking ‘would Charlie’s angels wear this”. It definitely gives you range, and yet gives you a through line that is cohesive. YLF. The beach wedding outfit is my fav, because beach…and because I love the easy but dressed vibe and the fab hat.

I can see any of the Angels in these outfits (or very similar) -- yes! The minimal and neutral work outfits are like their work outfits (they had to do a lot of running around and tended to dress quite androgynously for those parts of their role, while always looking feminine because of their hairstyles, etc.) And the dresses are just so fab on you -- there's no question you are a Dress Queen.

This all feels entirely you and entirely right.

I can definitely see Charlie's Angels in all of these! You have your style down perfectly.

My style moniker, the Gentlewoman, can flex to cover several personas. First, there is the Gentleman, and the Lady, depending which direction I skew that day. Then, I can do Town, Country, or Shore, to suit locale, activity, and level of formality.

I did a thread on these, long ago, wherein it was pointed out to me that even when I think I'm doing Town, it's really mostly Country. I am going to the ballet this weekend, so I'm going to knock myself out to do proper Town.

Love the blue dress and first outfit especially!
I struggle more with my style moniker (earthy sophisticate) and my style words (streamlined, feminine, exotic) in cold weather and when I have to be casual (at home especially). Creative and smart casual to full on dressy in mild to hot weather is no problem though

Agree with Helena, they all look like you! So yes, I think your moniker and words fit really well.
I love how the yellow mules pick up the yellow in the dress you wore to the wedding.
I think my moniker is limited in a way by mostly being about shoes! “Sassy Shoemaker’s Elf”! And my most worn shoes are not that sassy, slip-on black Skechers, though they are more refined than most Skechers and have subtle detailing I enjoy. So maybe… it’s possible I should be updating the moniker since it’s from 2019. Maybe wait for Angie’s next post about it.

Nice variations on a modern day Charlie’s Angel’s style.
I don’t currently have a style moniker, but I’d describe my style as casual trendy classic. It’s a descriptor that I can easily dress up with more tailoring and refinement or dress down with more fluid or edgy elements.

Interesting Rachy- me too - I struggled with corporate too - I always was a bit too unpolished. I can do it - but daily was a battle.

Helena- that’s a good way of looking at it. And I agree - you can flex your style to the stricter and more relaxed ends.

At work I happily wear dresses and florals - not these two dresses though - but work leans me to the darker, more minimalist looks.

Hi All

I have two sides to my style and these four outfits show it quite well.

1. Summer work - on a Friday. Minimalist in colour, pattern and accessories.
2. Haircut and errands day -
I also wore the dress to a holiday party with my yellow mules two nights later. Classic and feminine.
3. Work and then no time to transition to a meal out with girlfriends which I went to on an electric scooter. Different but it looks like the same sort of wardrobe to 1. I actually wanted to change but transport and time meant it wasn’t feasible.
4. Wedding! A lovely happy day with a beach ceremony.. Much more similar to 2.

I think these all fit my descriptors of breezy and elegant - and three have an element of boldness - I am not sure the denim in 3 is bold although I wore the bright bag.

And I think potentially any of the Charlie’s Angels could have worn these - my moniker is Grown Up Charlie’s Angel for those newer to the forum. They are not strongly 1970s but I think the mood is there.

Does anyone else feel they can dress as their style moniker in quite different and contrasting ways?
