All my life I have been self-conscious of my hips and thighs. I remember that what nudged me to try skinnies was seeing photos of Christina Hendricks in them. They had become so ubiquitous that it was getting hard to find anything but skinnies at retail. Eventually I embraced them because that’s mostly what was available and my eye adjusted because EVERYONE was wearing them. But I still wore bootcuts too because they were always my most flattering style. I’m just thankful that now seems to be a time when more cuts are available to suit a variety of tastes.
