The skirt looks great! Agree that #3 may be the best, although it looks good all ways.

I think that's the same style I have, only mine are solid, and I hadn't even thought of trying to tuck with mine. So I might have to play around with that.

I think you rock this skirt! I prefer the semituck with this particular top but with a shorter hi-low or banded top untuck would be great too.

Beautiful! I actually like the top in all its incarnations -- it just depends what look you are going for. If "pretty, feminine, and flattering" are the qualifiers, than the others are right that 3 is probably best.

I am also falling all over myself in love with those sandals. Are those a recent purchase?

Totally gorgeous, Gracie! I like the top faux tucked, too! It's a very classic look! As MKK has pointed out, a slightly slouchy/oversized top could work too if that fits with your aesthetic. Can be tricky for an IT but I think the skirt will balance it!

You are just too adorable, Gracie! I think the flare and length of this skirt is perfect! I also think (because it's a high contrast neutral) that it can go with many different (fitted) tops! A slouchy high hip length sweater can work too!

Rabbit, Mona, Lyn*, E – thanks for the feedback and Thanks Rabbit for seeing what I could not see with the top and skirt hems. Yes, I can tuck into this skirt, either with the skirt at my natural waist or with the folded down waistband, and also have tops that are banded – the skirt won't be an orphan, it will have a nice, small family :)
Lyn* yey! for LOFT opening near you, hopefully soon. If I'm patient enough, I wait for at least a 40% off sale, they have them all the time online and in-store, hopefully your store will do the same.

I agree with Rabbit: I like the higher but even hemline on the shirt. I think this ticks all the boxes of figure-flattering, feminine, and pretty, plus the print adds a bit of edge. Do you have enough tops with higher hemlines that it won't be an orphan? I solve that problem by tucking all of my tops, but I don't know if that skirt's waist is high enough to do that for you (or if you like the look).

I also agree that #3 is probably the most eye pleasing, although I can see #4 working in a more casual setting as well.

Looks good on you! I like the #3 images the best, where the top has some ruching, but is parallel to the hem of the skirt. (I've been experimenting with circle skirts and visually shorter tops and a symmetrical join between the top and skirt seem to work best so far unless a semi-tuck stays in place just right to my eye.)

I hadn’t had a circle skirt in my closet in a long time. I ordered this one to give the style a try once again thinking it might work for me to balance my IT shoulders. I’m resting my skinnies a bit this summer I enjoy traditional figure-flattering, pretty and feminine pieces. This skirt is a medium weight knit and falls quite nicely – it’s not stiff and does not stick out to create unnecessary volume – keeping the line slim. The wide waistband can be folded down to sit below the waist too (photo 2 shows the waistband fully extended and folded down). My question: Does it look better with the top untucked, or the semi-tuck?

Top: Zara Organic Cotton tee
Skirt: LOFT (I did not find it on their website though it’s a recent purchase)
Sandals: Nine West
Necklace: old, can’t remember
