It was a fun event. It got warm as the room filled with people, so the jacket got hung in coat check for the second half of the evening, which was fine too. I got compliments on the dress and the jacket -- fun that both a 12-year-old budding female photographer (who also shoots images of rusty old cars!) and a wonderful 80-year-old woman loved the jacket. </p> <p>Cool leather jackets were a theme for the night -- one of the other attendees was a young man of about 30 wearing a most excellent vintage leather patchwork jacket that was made of scallop-shaped patches in cognac and tan. Reminded me of a 70s era leather patchwork jacket I got from a thrift store 20 years ago and wore until I passed it along to my niece. Should be a good networking opp as well as some fun for a good cause.</p> <p>It's not showing in these pics but under the jacket is a solid black vintage wrap belt rather than the self belt, to break up the expanse of pattern and define my waist. If it's warm I'll take the jacket off.
