This outfit is my very first outfit that is entirely from a Petites line and I feel like a new person wearing these clothes. I have gained quite a bit of weight over the past few years and, in addition to being well-endowed, I just didn't think I fit the criteria of "petite." It was a casual remark by a salesperson that steered me towards the Petite section and I just can't believe how it has changed clothes for me. What a nice change!</p> <p>I've included three pics. #1 was the plan. #2 is what I actually wore. #3 is my new shoes.</p> <p>I stuck with the plan of cardi, top and shorts. I know the shorts are a little too short, but I discovered that I can wear petite sizes in shorts just before I found YLF and I was so excited about having shorts that were not up to my neck, that I bought them and I've worn the heck out of them. I now know what to look for next Spring for shorts, so I am content with these for now, aiming to make changes next year.</p> <p>I had also planned to wear sandals, but there was a lot of great feedback about red and purple together, so I went with the red flats. I was happy with this and I'm grateful to everyone who suggested it!</p> <p>Even though pic #2 doesn't feature the necklace, I did wear it today. By 5 pm it was driving me crazy and kept getting caught in the hair on the back of my neck. It has been road-tested and it's officially hitting the road - right over to my sister-in-law who usually gets first shot at any of the clothes/accessories that I'm purging.</p> <p>Last pic is my new shoes. My mom commented last week that she couldn't believe I had only one pair of flats. Today I went looking for black flats, but these little pretties made the black flats look pretty boring. And I got them on sale, so it's a win-win for me. The picture doesn't do the colors much justice, but they will match everything in my closet.
